Sure, we're evil, but don't fuck with our shit, we'd protect a useless planet to spite someone.

- Why did people not like the presequel? I thought it was pretty neat.
Welcome to Borderlands
Besides the humor not being quite as on point, I think the main problem with the Pre-Sequel is that it had no post-game stuff to do. In Borderlands 2 after you did all the quests and stuff you could still play for many hours trying to beat the semi-secret raid bosses with your friends and gearing up to kill them faster, all the raid bosses had special mechanics and were really fucking hard to kill so it was a fun challenge that most of the community loved. There were also several rare enemies you could search for that would drop special cool gear, and a Vault symbol collectible you could go around looking for I guess.
When Pre-Sequel was announced people were super hyped at the new awesome weapons that would be in it and the new amazing raid bosses they'd surely have for us to kill.
Then it comes out and the only post-game raid boss in Pre-Sequel was... A stronger version of the final boss. With no new mechanics. And no special steps to find it either, you just basically do the final level of the game a second time. Not to mention you could easily beat it alone with bad gear.
This also sort of ruined the point of grinding for better rare gear to become stronger because there was nothing at the end of the game to challenge you anyway, you go through the game getting stronger and stronger and expect something amazingly epic to test your strength at the end but instead the game just blue balls you. It was a complete joke and an insult to the community.
Oh yeah and also the game was supposed to get more DLC than it did but 2K Australia shut down and the rest of 2K weren't interested in finishing their work so the season pass was sort of a rip-off and the game wasn't as big as it should have been.
