I feel like we're making a shift with the new generation here in Alaska. I think we will be transitioning into a blue state. Not enough of us youngins get involved in local politics unless it involves weed or money. . . That's why we're electing people over and over.

Dude, just be real. The best the libertarians ever did at a presidential election was in 1980 when Ed Clark got 1.06% of the votes.
Since 1980 no libertarian has broken the 1% barrier.

Just realise that your only options are Trump, Hillary and not voting at all.
If you want your vote to matter, and you hate both Trump and Hillary, think who you hate the most and vote for the other one.

and what does that solve? it just continues the stupid 2 party thing thats been going on for years. we need to stop that thinking. the lesser of two evils mind set needs to end because it shuts out so many candidates that are better

I don't know... I can see us making a big way this year. Maybe not winning per say, but breaking the 1% I can see. Enough people reallllly hate these two. I will not vote for either. I don't think it's right to vote for someone just because you think your party/person can't win. I'm going to vote for who I think is right, even if the chances are less then great.

the sad thing is many know about it but still subscribe to the philosophy that if they dont have a chance theres no point in voting for them. its a self fulfilling prophecy

Libertarianism has its own problems though one of those problems being the sheer number of self-righteous pricks who keep claiming that it's a good idea as quote 'Atlas Shrugged' as though it were religious scripture.

Just vote for whoever you think is best
Trump or Hillary. Voting libertarian is like writing in Zimmerman, who knows it might be good for the country but he's not going to win it.
