Try using an image like this. The plain backgrounds look really boring.

I would need to get my photoshop slave to make that picture then figure out something for mobile devices, maybe later, it has to be plain/background anyway so people with low conenctions can use the site without waiting for a background to load.

They're both the same. I've also never been to an anime or gaming con, as the one that's usually held in my town has been cancelled indefinitely. Shame that one's in Dublin, bit too far to go from the East of England.

This one looks better, you just need to remove the large purple box from the top, and put the buttons underneath the name banner. Maybe change the anime-games-music-movies-comics banner to a purple colour too.

Depends on if any of my friends go. It's only for one day. Last year one of my friends went with some of his mates, and one of them went dressed as the mlp characters Flim and Flam. Flim the first day and Flam the second day. I never knew about the con at the time, as I didn't watch much anime then.

It's based on a free wordpress theme and that gives a shitload of ads in the bottom.

Why not go alone?

Give it a banner like the other site. If you don't choose to do that, make the banner the buttons are on a darker purple to make the logo stand out more, and make the text on the buttons white, or a brighter grey.

Going alone sounds like it would be boring........

Why not get rid of the Home button, and hyperlink the ArcadeCon logo as a home button?

Make the navbar static, when it moves the top of the logo gets cut off, and it stops portions of text from being viewed. If you don't make the navbar static, the navbar and boxes will need a black or white outline around them.

Why not try to the make the class="active" on, more of a faded highlight from top to bottom?

It'll be like that, just need something to test the color of class="active" on

Wouldn't making them the same color make them blend in when the navbar is over?

Go to Tampermonkey's settings and set the 'UnsafeWindow retrieval method' to 'Proxy'. (you need to have the 'Config mode' set to 'Beginner' or higher to be able to see that option)

What exactly does that do?

The scripts run in some kind of 'sandbox' to limit their manipulation to a safer level.
Problem is, our script needs to 'break out' of the sandbox to touch the 'comments' class by Funnyjunk. Proxy kinda allows that, it allows our script to touch everything on the page, yet have it run in a sandbox.
I hope they'll update GM & TM some time and provide us with a better method.
