Yes, nigger is thrown around a lot, but they are still a minority. The Irish aren't so much a minority anymore. At least not in 'MERICA.

ok then, predict when the next big eathquake will hit San Diego, tell me all knowing one, when will Japan have its next "big one" Tectonic shift is not completely predictable, all models of tectonic shift are based on what has already happened, we know certain shifts happen every few hundred years or so, but it is impossible to know more than a few hours in advance where and when it will actually happen.
The forecast models are also based on averages, do you realise what that means? no probably not, let me tell you, if they say X happens every 100 hundred years on average, that means it has happened say 10 times in 1000 years, it doesn't mean that on the 1st on January every 100 years it WILL happen, it could happen twice in 100 years and then not again for 200 years, AVERAGES.

By "geological changes on a planetary scale" I don't mean predicting an earthquale, for pete's sake!

By examining current geological movements along with proofs and evidence of other major events from the past, it's not that hard to predict the movements of continents over the span of tens of millions of years!
User avatar #420 - djgeeza (01/22/2013) [-]
it is not hard to ESTIMATE but an accurate prediction is an entirely different matter.
User avatar #421 - tkfourtwoone (01/22/2013) [-]
Who said anything about accurate predictions?

We know continents such as "Pangea" existed, without knowing their exact shape and size, so Africa colliding and merging with Europe doesn't require precise calculations.

The boss did literally the best thing imo. He made the girl feel a little better by telling her to brush it off and his opinion didn't hurt anyone, particularly the old lady who didn't hear him.
