Alton Sterling: FACTS ARE...
Red thumb and be a fool all you like, but if you stop being a fool for five seconds and look at the context of the situation then you'd realise that a fully grown adult following around a teen at night is suspicious.
Now just imagine walking down the road when a car starts to follow you very slowly. Then the driver of the car, after following you for a while, stops the vehicle and proceeds to follow you on foot, then suddenly closes the distance. and 'allegedly' confronts you.
If that doesn't sound like the beginnings of an attempted mugging or kidnapping, then I don't know what does.
George Zimmerman was neighbourhood watch, and was to call the polis if he saw anything suspicious. He called the polis, and they told him that they would take care of it, and that he needed to stay uninvolved. George Zimmerman, and fully grown adult, refused to listen to the polis and proceeded to follow a teenager through the streets at seven at night before getting out of his car and closing the distance between himself and said teenager and confront them. And some how no one sees how this is either wrong, or could be construed by the person being followed that instead on being a stalker, kidnapper or robber, it's actually a stupid wannabe hero?
Sod off to anyone who wants to say they wouldn't question a person following them around in such a fashion. I'd pull a knife on them more than likely, and I know plenty of others who'd pull a gun on whoever's following them.
Zimmerman fucked up, made himself appear as a threat and then shot his 'attacker' despite being the catalyst in the situation.
