Why, though? It's short as hell, not challenging, and it can only ride on nostalgia. Twilight Princess blew it out of the water, and that was 5 years ago.

nostalgia is enough sometimes, man. people say "oh hurr hurr that game sucks cause it was just nostalgia hurrrr" but look me in the eyes and say that sometimes, just sometimes, when you go back to play a game or watch a movie that you loved from your childhood that the nostalgia you feel on its own isn't enough to make it worth it.

not to mention, OoT was a good game anyway. the story and the gameplay and the characters and everything felt great. i'll give you that it's kind of short and quite easy, but damn that game has always felt great to play.

You're saying that this game is perfect because of nostalgia, right? But what about kids nowadays? They're going to still think Twilight Princess is better, because it's a better version of this, but they have no nostalgia over OoT because they are young. Timeless implies it will always be perfect, but OoT is far from perfect, and saying that you NEED nostalgia to play it is a MASSIVE mark against it.

never said it was perfect, never said you need nostalgia to play it. i said it was a damn good game. honestly, i got into the gaming world after the n64's time, i bought the gamecube remake of OoT like, what, 5 years ago because i'd always heard it was so great, and yeah, i did play it, and i did think it was great. played it several times, always thought it felt great to play, because it was fun and engrossing.

maybe tp is a better game than OoT, but OoT just set such a standard, you know? it was a landmark game, and it's held up pretty well. it's still fun to play.

although, lemme tell you a secret... ilike majora's mask better than OoT lol. like, I'm in love with OoT but there was just soooo damn much to do in majora's mask.

How is it? It is severely outclassed by newer console Zelda games. Saying it's "the greatest game ever" implies that it WILL stand the test of time, and that:
Its graphics will always be perfect.
It has a massive amount of content.
Its gameplay is perfect.
And its story is timeless.
Which none of OoT is. Twilight Princess is the SAME GAME, but with upgrades to everything, which makes it automatically better than OoT.

Not saying it is, but that would be the reasoning why you would get red thumbs
