The 2nd amendment was designed to protect the American people from an oppressive tyrannical government it ensures that the government in the military can never out power the citizenry because the citizenry has access to the same weapons that the military does ensuring that you don't have something like in North Korea or something that like what happened with Pol Pot.

As far as drugged up psychopaths going out and getting guns and shooting people up well that just doesn't happen all that much as a matter of fact that happens less than .1% of the time and that's all gun deaths total as a matter of fact there are more vehicle deaths in America than gun deaths www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/injury.htm

As far as a weapon being used as a tool well I have bear moose elk wolf and several of their predators that walk within 10 feet of my back door if I want to go out in my yard and do anything I need to be armed I have to carry at least a 45 Long Colt on me if I want to hike or go out in my yard.

Other purposes that guns can have them anyways if they can be used as tools I've seen them used for art I've seen them used for demolition purposes I've seen them used to cut down a tree quite effectively.

As far as the it screen G is f*** to put a rifle in my child's hands I was 3 years old when I had the first rifle I ever owned put in my hands I will do the same with my child boy or girl I spent 8 years in the United States Marines I know how to handle and fire more weapons than I do Social situations.

Growing up I was bullied from elementary school all the way until I pretty much graduated high school there was another thing that was kind of unique to my situation I had loaded guns all over my house there were no less than 5 loaded guns at any given time position to buy all of the entrances and exits of our house this was from the time that I was in elementary school like I said until I graduated high school never once did I ever contemplate taking one of those guns in and shooting these people who are picking on me dumping white out in my hair spitting on me. Why didnt I flip out, I was educated early on weapons saftey and proper weapons handeling.
