It's the same thing. A liberal arts university is going to attract a certain young demographic. The people you were seeing there were likely impressionable young people who got their opinions from the Internet.

Most normal people do not think that way. Most women are reasonable. Maybe not as chill as a guy, but they're not awful.

By the way, at the end of the day, abuse is abuse. It doesn't matter if its physical, emotional, or sexual. Also it doesn't matter if there is celebration if a law is passed. Some people would celebrate if there was a law passed saying the holocaust was fake it is illegal to claim it happened.

And to be honest, the studies conducted by both sides are largely flawed and its an insult to call them scientific studies.

I can't speak on the Youtube source because that guy annoyed me too much to finish the video. Looking over the titles of his videos though, he seems to be very stuck in a mindset that always annoys me. I can't really describe it, but it's especially prevalent of Funnyjunk, mainly perpetuated by Admin.

I have a hard time believing the Examiner's first study wasn't doctored in some way. There is no way 100% of any respectably sized group of subjects has experienced something so big. Plus, that site is mainly clickbait anyway, so I would take anything on there with a full serving of salt. The part in Study #3 about a lot of homosexual relationships not lasting over two years is correct though.

Third source is sound. The writer is Baptist minister, and they tend to take a strong opposition to homosexuality in general, but I thought it was a very fair article.

I was asking for what kind of abuse because it's a very vague term. For example, I think I remember men are more prone to emotional abuse against grown women in domestic scenarios, while women (again in domestic scenarios) are more prone to physical abuse. Of course, sexual and physical abuse is mainly incited by men in other scenarios, I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

As for your other post up top, I too support separation of church and state. I'm a Catholic, so my Church doesn't support gay marriage, thus I don't think they should be forced to hold ceremonies for gays. If they did decide to change their stance on it without influence from a government, I would be cool with that. But as long as the doctrine forbids gay marriage, I would not support the government muscling in.

In addition, I don't think the churches areforced to carry out gay marriages. Not in the Catholic Church at least.
