Scotland doesn't have any oil and won't if they split. The oil fields are privately owned.

When they say your economy will float on that oil, they're simply lying. The only way Scotland could claim that oil would be to nationalise it - something thats generally only done by people like Gaddafi because in the modern world it's frowned upon to steal private property to fuel petty political agendas.

I'm really glad you added some sort of indication of what part of the article you were referring to. I'm also glad I got to read an entire entry on something I already knew because I expected that there must be something about it that I missed. No part of that wiki page has anything similar to a "plausible proof to [an] argument". Maybe next time, you should pull the info from it that you wish to use as proof, and provide the link as a source.

I didn't want to get too into it, but you get my thumbs and undying love (no homo) for nueroplasticity argument.

@Niglet, it isn't an opinion given that the burden of proof that it is genetic falls on the people claiming it.

Even some of the more obscure neuropathies have proven genetic links.

I shouldn't have to disprove unicorns in order to tell you they don't fucking exist you twat.

I can prove melanin content and genetic markers, if you can't prove gay but insist it's genetic that's your BELIEF.

Also I'd be very interested in how one can "hide" being black.

Key word being "every gay." Your link would only prove true to those who believe it's a choice.
User avatar #17 - pizzapastasaurous (05/16/2013) [-]
When the social norms change as they always do, to gays being a 'common situation' those who may think it is a choice might, excuse my language 'fall into gayness', however the original gays the ones that this situation doesn't apply too have got either a genetic disorder... ETC.
I think that answers your question.

i agree with awidniglet. maybe that happens to some people but that doesn't explain the gay people who hate themselves for it and wish they could change.

i have a friend who came out as being gay but he grew up in a very strict catholic family and it was this huge ordeal and we didn't see him at school for like a week and when he did come back he was so changed. his parents had shaved his head and then he was sent to a pray the gay away place. he hated himself, i doubt he CHOSE that
User avatar #14 - awildniglet (05/16/2013) [-]
If you actually read my comment you would see that it is possible for some, but not every gay person would apply necessarily.
User avatar #15 - pizzapastasaurous (05/16/2013) [-]
but you can't seriously believe that every gay person just pretended to be gay until their brain actually believed it to be true. There isn't proof to that.

Answer to the later: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroplasticity

Last time I checked, being gay was no longer considered a mental defect

Answer to the later: Yes and no it depends on which scientific group you believe in, for some its a chemical in-balance, others a mental disorder, others still a genetic defect.

The difference is a person cannot become black how ever if a person starts to act like something else psychologically it is a proven fact that the brain starts to believe in its self, EG gays. Many mental condition being like the above example.
