God is a cruel bastard.
I'd rather suck the dick of Satan, than even for a second follow God.
At least Satan is helping the world, unlike some useless God motherintense bodyloveer up in the sky. Not that either of them exist, of course.

But again, your only looking at this from one point of view of reference whilst there being more than a dozen who are equally valid. But that's really the issue at the end of the day when discussing these matters isn't it? Everyone thinks themselves correct and everyone else wrong, but the reason they base this idea is really all the same isn't it? The real irony stems from the fact that you speak of 'corruptions' of other religions, but have you ever bothered to consider that maybe you're beliefs are too? Consider for a moment the number of Bibles there are, there's the Old and the New, and how many times has that been rewritten, reinterpreted, and so forth to fit one's beliefs? I'll tell you now that if you think you'res is somehow above it all, your wrong. But then again, the only real understanding of the bible is the literal one. Unfortunately people staunchly deny the possibility whilst also carefully choosing what they want to believe to fit one's ideology. Omnipotent or no.

If he's omniscient, then he knowingly set a rule that he knew would be broken.

The issue I think is that it is never expressly said that he was omnipotent, while at the same time it was never expressed that he wasn't. This also depends on which bible you choose to believe in as well, because for example, the Old Bible paints God to be much more akin to omnipotent as opposed to not. Seeing as he's capable of incredible acts, such as turning the sinful city of Babylon into salt in a mere instant. But again, it's never really stated one way or another.

Furthermore, the problem here is that within you're understanding of the Bible God may not be omnipotent. However do consider for a moment that you're understanding of the book and how you interpret is not the only way, and as a devil's advocate, the chances of it being true are actually slimmer than you might think. If we were to look at it from a purely statistically equal possibility anyways.

Just watch what you say, otherwise you just might come off as a pretentious brat.

He is not omnipotent, as I said its a corruption. Jesus never states he is all-powerful. And his word it the only true voice (if you believe the Bible).

hes not very loving though is he. hes mostly mentioned in the old testament and he spends most of time being a giant prick playing a game of the sims. he ends up killing or ordering the death people than helping him. hell in the bible satan only kills about 10 people. god wiped multipul cities off the face of the map, turned a woman into salt just for looking back at her own towns people, and drowned everyone *including infants and unknowing animals* all because he didnt like the way they turned out.

TL;DR: all loving my ass
User avatar #232 - saytwaa (07/15/2014) [-]
it is true the bible has been changed, a lot of stuff in the bible now is totally different from the original teaching of jesus. which jesus wasnt his real name anyways. you can hardly go off of todays bible
#32 - anonymous (07/15/2014) [-]
He sure as intense bodylove isn't all good or omniscient, and the all-loving is pretty questionable.
#57 - captainganto (07/15/2014) [-]
you're concept of love in grounded in humanity mind you, whereas God's concept us divine and infathimable
User avatar #86 - testaburger (07/15/2014) [-]
Then stop calling it all-loving, when clearly, our understanding of it is incorrect.

Call it "God works in mysterious ways"
User avatar #33 - pizzapastasaurous (07/15/2014) [-]
That depends. He gave Humanity free-will to do as they wished; he set a rule which was broken, he banished Satan and his followers to reside over the Earth with the Humans. And as we discussed God is not all-powerful; Satan and his followers are powerful enough to oppose God and so they do; until Armageddon.

Perhaps you should know what your talking about before you're state a childish opinion.
