phlogistinator (11/25/2015) [-] So from what everyone is saying, it has little content, (compared to BF2) and EA is doing its typical "pay more for less" shit. Well, what can you do? EA will never change, cause they don't give a shit about their customers. I mean I've played it, I'm currently rank 17, I personally love it, It's alright for its first entry, but it's just not a sixty dollar game, the game's got so little content, and then they're immediately jewing you out for 50 bucks for a season pass. I like it but i bought it knowing i would just be running around online shooting people with blasters and having fun doing so. Could it be better? Yes. Did Battlefront 2 have a load more that made it better? Yes. But i still damn well enjoy what it is

schafenfreude (11/21/2015) [-] It obviously didn't take place in the US, so the stories are quite probable. I live in Germany and about 90% of the older teachers are employed by the state and basically un-fireable. I had a known pedophile as an biology teacher for three years, a crazy cat-lady that looked like a hobo and smelled even worse in English for two years and a Hitler-like dictator in Religion. Two of those still teach, the pedophile was admitted to a mental asylum by his wife like a year ago. These stories are absolutely believeable, and if I weren't on my phone I'd share some of my own.

| I don't use the phlog. And it IS an upgrade from the standard axe, but there's nowhere to go but up. I don't know if you have dirt on your Pyrovision Googles or if your Gibus is too tight, but you need some training in strats, bro. #63 -
anon (11/13/2015) [-] What is with you and insults? Did my user name just bother you that much, or are you just butthurt about getting killed by this weapon before? Any weapon in TF2 can be deadly in the right hands, and people can use them however they like. If you want to keep whining about some "superior" strategy you have as pyro, go ahead. It won't stop how I play pyro. TEam Fortress Two. You're supposed to be a team. You support as pyro by keeping Mad Milk, Rockets, Jarate, Stickies, Pills, and a plethora of other projectiles away from your team. Not only that, but airblasting can be an absolute game changer against people who use those projectiles. You can also push spies away from engineer buildings, such as that sentry protecting your point. You can also extinguish teammates. Now you use the Manmelter. It's much slower to fire than the Flare Gun, and it lacks the defensive capabilities of the Scorch Shot. Why use it? Third Degree. Helps against heavy medic combos by doing damage to two people at once. Or, you can get bonus speed and health on kill with the Powerjack. Or more damage against flaming enemies with the Axetinguisher. Or help engineer buildings (or destroy enemy teleporters) with the Homewrecker. Or do MORE damage and get more health from pickups with the Backscratcher. There is a reason why 5 out of 6 of the Pyro primaries Airblast. It's because anyone who has even an ounce of skill at Pyro can be one of the best contributors to the team effort. But what would a coward who doesn't even login to comment know? #66 -
phlogistinator (11/17/2015) [-] That was my comment, though why it did it went as a anonymous, I don't know. Everyone has their own play style. Try hardy attitudes like yours on how someone should and shouldn't play are some of the things that ruin games like TF2. TF2 is a team based game, no doubt there, but like any game, it was made with the intention of having FUN, (foreign word to you, I'm sure), I shouldn't have even bothered to have replied to your comment, it was obviously phlog hate bait, but since you seem so inclined to give out stats on weapons, I'll give a few of my own. Phlogistonator: at the cost of loosing air last abilities, you gain the ability to not only refill your health instantaneously, but also deal Crits for around 8 seconds, that with fuck over multiple people in a matter of seconds. Manmelter: used with the Phlog, with the intention of allowing the pyro to continue to help his team by extinguishing them, a good pyro will do this. For a reward for doing this, you get more Crits, which don't require a special scenario to get, (like the flare gun needs). Third degree: aside from being a better stock weapon, (stock are the best all around), you can hurt anyone connected to a Medibeam. There is no limit to the number of people connected, and has no vunurabilities, or downsides. While the power jack and axtingisher are fantastic weapons, power jack has a 20% damage vulnerability, and the axtingisher can't kill anything not on fire. All weapons can be used effectively, and have their own strategies. This is something really silly to try and argue over, so I'm gonna leave it. If you want to keep going, go ahead, it won't really stop me from using the Phlog. It's easier to shoot someone twice with the flaregun than to wait for your teammate to be ignited and then get a crit from extinguishing. I'm a casual TF2 player, but you sound like someone who uses the Liberty Launcher

| Regardless of what your team does for you, you help them. That's what being a team player is. And most medics follow whoever they uber, not the other way around, so they really have no choice if a pyro sneaks up from behind. Phlog... Manmelter... I swear to god, if you use Third Degree.... #61 -
