| #100 - What are you grinning about? [+] (11 new replies) | 12/28/2011 on Derpy and her lava lamp | +1 |
| You know that her name is Derpy, so you stand a decent chance of being a brony, at least to my way of thinking. Which is pretty cool, if you ask me. That, and I just find it neat that you found our conversation interesting enough to warrant having a glance at my profile. Great to hear. I always like conversing intelligently with people, especially if they're bronies. On FJ, an intelligent conversation is something of a Rarity. True, but I think it gets kind of exacerbated in FJ's case because of the thumb system. Because stuff that gets to the front page generally has to be popular (or so it would seem) and most people only really go on the front page, the opportunity for people to be complete dicks is really prevalent. Not only do you have a popular thing which is very easy and gratifying to hate/oppose, but if you're a casual user, you don't really have any connection to the site. Thus, you don't take it seriously, and you're more likely to post unrefined comments laden with curse words and the like. I don't have anything against the thumb system (indeed, I think it's more good than bad), but it does have a nasty habit of providing fertile grounds for angry idiots to be vocal. I don't take anything on the internet remotely seriously, so to me FunnyJunk is just a website that makes me laugh sometimes. I don't think about why and don't care about how. When people dwell on things like that, they lose track of the whole "laugh" part, they stop taking enjoyment in what they do. I myself am of a similar though process. Great mind think alike, eh? "You and me, we're the only ones around here who aren't complete fools." - approximately 9001 people scattered across the province of Skyrim You know, you should post that as content. It'd probably get a few thumbs or something, and the people who bothered to comment would probably be nice about it. I mean, hell, I just upload videos from YouTube about hyperviolent Swedish cooking, and the people there are generally pretty cool. | ||

| Very true, very true. I guess I just think that, if one has the capacity to choose between using one's (considerable) resources for good or using them for reckless self-indulgence, the choice should be obvious. Man up, do the right thing, all that. In reality, though, you're probably right. People can't do the right thing all the time. You ever notice that? You just... can't. Not because you don't want to, but because something always stops you. Sometimes it's because doing the right thing is hard, sometimes it's because doing the right thing is stupid, sometimes some outside force stops you from being able to do it, and sometimes, you just don't. You see the opportunity, all the possibility of doing the right thing and willing choose the evil thing. Everyone does something evil every day. I don't think that Keith was a bad person. I never met him. I can't judge sufficiently him based solely on what I know. He did some stupid, selfish, harmful things. That's all I can say. I'm not a god, a judge, or a jury. I'm just some random guy who would rather not end up being judged by others. So I try not to judge others. I want to say something intelligent, but . . . Yeah. That's profound, man. | ||

| The think I hate about apple in general is that they created the whole Fanboyism.... all started with those "I'm a mac I'm a PC" commercials they are the ones who started this whole fanboy stuff, Cause if they didn't have commercials like that it would have just been another PC which is basically true a Mac is just another PC.... just a different OS I'm a Mac user myself and hate most of the people who use Macs. Maybe that's too strong of a word, but I see all these people getting all orgasmic over the MacBook they just got for Christmas and I think a computer running Windows 95 would get everything done that they needed. Apple makes a great computer, and they sure as hell know how to market them, but people need to realize what they do and don't need. If people think they need to spend more money on something to be happy, that's their business. Let them. It doesn't hurt anyone but themselves and it helps them feel good about themselves. More power to them. They're being foolish, yes, but they're happy and content. I'm fine with fools who buy Mac products. It's the pompous pricks pushing their opinion onto others, parading around like owning a stark white computer makes them better than me... those people annoy me. I just don't like assholes. Regardless of whether or not they own a mac. | ||

Canucklehead (12/28/2011) [-] Except nobody is making fun of his race, so people aren't hating on him because he's a rich WHITE asshole. If you want to be racist and make racist jokes, go fucking for it. But stop trying to hide behind stuff like, "Quit making every problem a race one." Those Know the Difference comps piss me off, I rarely see anybody calling someone a cracker on this site. Look at me. What's the difference between a black guy and a bench? A bench can support a family. There I made a racist joke. I'm not going to suggest the planet is a better place for it or bitch about me not being racist, because I know I'm not. But you're kidding yourself if you think black people don't receive extra shit on the internet. Is it your job to give a fuck? No. Black people can get mad. White people can keep making jokes. You guys don't have to collide. Nothing good over the past couple of centuries has happened when you bastards intermingle. | ||

| All of the girls I know, Say guys are all asshole, I think they're not, Most girls are the problem, and when I tell them that, they get over emotional and bitch and whine, and nagg me to death, When most girls I know found out I watch porn. You should have herd them freak out and attempt to disown me All people are assholes. It doesn't matter what color or gender they are. Everyone is wrong. Completely and utterly. The women set a bad example, and get themselves stereotyped. The men are idiotic and self centered enough to cling to stereotypes to make themselves feel better about being alone. Both parties are stupid. They deserve to be hated equally. Y'know. I kinda agree with you on this one, well done, good sir ! | ||
