I love how Megadeth sounds tuned down half-a-step. Youthanasia is proof of that.

Your aliiiiive!!!??? Man its been a while, and oh yes, if my guitar was in-com, it would be half step down, its so much meatier!

Yup. Like I said, just been really busy.

And whacha mean "In com?" I also keep my Schecter Damien1/2-step down all the time, which also has an EMG 85 in the bridge now. Was I get strings for my Strat (I have a Squier Strat now with a single Duncan Super Distortion in it), it'll be my 1/2-step-down guitar, and my Schecter will be for tuning a whole-step down or for drop C.

Also, I got meself an Ibanez RG7321 with a DiMarzio D-activator that's a whole step down (in standard A or G#, I don't remember), but it'll be tuned back to standard B once I get everything settled.

And thus, my guitars since we last talked. Want to get rid of the Ibanez, though. Neck is too damn thin for me. Looking into PRS or Schecter. Need a baritone 6 string or 7-string.

In com means in commission, the input jack came unsoldered and somethings ****** up with the pickups, but my buddy is lettin me borrow his ESP JH-200 and Marshall half stack till i get mine fixed

Oooh, I see. That's one of those cases where I'm glad I learned how to solder.

But the pickup problem, dunno how to fix that. Whats wrong with the,?

Well I tried to solder it back but it still produces hella feedback and when you touch the volume or tone knob the feedback gets worse

Huh, sounds like a poorly potted pickup... Could probably get a cheap aftermarket pickup from Guitarfetish or Gutarheads for around $30 - $40 or get a used Duncan or Dimarzio for like $50 on eBay.

Hell, fully Mustaine it up and get a Bill Lawrence L500XL or used Duncan SH-4 JB or SH-5 Custom.

Im thinkin about just stripping it completely down and Frankensteining it into a KV1, its already got a neck from a Friedman kelly on it haha

Like just getting new parts? Or repainting it?
User avatar #60 to #59 - jacksonkingv (11/03/2013) [-]
the whole shebang, new finish, new pickups, new everything

Damn, sorry about the lateness... again.

As for pickups... I say get a Bill USA L500XL bridge + Jazz neck or Duncan SH-5 bridge and Duncan Jazz neck.

Or the Mustaine Live Wire set.
