Well I tried to solder it back but it still produces hella feedback and when you touch the volume or tone knob the feedback gets worse

Huh, sounds like a poorly potted pickup... Could probably get a cheap aftermarket pickup from Guitarfetish or Gutarheads for around $30 - $40 or get a used Duncan or Dimarzio for like $50 on eBay.

Hell, fully Mustaine it up and get a Bill Lawrence L500XL or used Duncan SH-4 JB or SH-5 Custom.

Your aliiiiive!!!??? Man its been a while, and oh yes, if my guitar was in-com, it would be half step down, its so much meatier!
User avatar #53 - peruvianskies (10/30/2013) [-]
Yup. Like I said, just been really busy.

And whacha mean "In com?" I also keep my Schecter Damien1/2-step down all the time, which also has an EMG 85 in the bridge now. Was I get strings for my Strat (I have a Squier Strat now with a single Duncan Super Distortion in it), it'll be my 1/2-step-down guitar, and my Schecter will be for tuning a whole-step down or for drop C.

Also, I got meself an Ibanez RG7321 with a DiMarzio D-activator that's a whole step down (in standard A or G#, I don't remember), but it'll be tuned back to standard B once I get everything settled.

And thus, my guitars since we last talked. Want to get rid of the Ibanez, though. Neck is too damn thin for me. Looking into PRS or Schecter. Need a baritone 6 string or 7-string.

User avatar #40 to #39 - peruvianskies (09/02/2012) [-]
Ibanez. Rg7321. As always with them, the stock pkckups blow and im looking into either getting a Dimarzio X2N7 or Evo7 bridge and an Air Norton 7 neck, or if I can get some extra cash, a Bareknuckle or Lundgren. I like it so much that i plan on getting another in the future, most likely an ESP.

What Jackson do you have in mind? One of the new X series?
User avatar #41 to #40 - jacksonkingv (09/02/2012) [-]
its another V lol but this one has the floating tremolo, locking bridge and nut, iIm getting it from a local store and I cant remember which model it is off the top of my head
#42 to #41 - peruvianskies (09/02/2012) [-]
If you can remember how it looks, can I see pics?

Speaking of floating trems... the ESP 7 I want has one.... and yes, I like Emgs. :P
#43 to #42 - jacksonkingv (09/02/2012) [-]
EMGs are sick as **** , and its the KVX10, this one looks exactly like it, sorry its so small, it was the only one I could find

His signature Fender is actually guitar nice. I personally wouldn't use it, but the ideas are cool.

I rather something different for the price, like a used EBMM Axis.
User avatar #31 to #30 - MyNameIsARickRoll (02/08/2012) [-]
Well, so would I. But it's not as bad as it could be. It could be a Devries.

Devries?
User avatar #5 - jacksonkingv (09/17/2011) [-]
Hey do you know where I could get a replacement neck for my Jackson per chance? and you know me, always on some sort of budget haha
User avatar #6 to #5 - peruvianskies (09/25/2011) [-]
Hmmm... look up Mighty Mite. I'm not too sure, but I believe they have replacement jackson necks. If not, look around on the Warmoth website. They may be expensive, but they're worth it.

Also, check the new Jackson guitars website. Theres a new budget line of guitars. Its replacing the old X10 series, I believe.
User avatar #8 to #6 - jacksonkingv (09/25/2011) [-]
Thank you sir, yea my neck is pretty much thrashe on the Jackson, I took it to a guy to have the frets filed down and he ****** it up BAD
User avatar #9 to #8 - peruvianskies (09/27/2011) [-]
How do you **** up something simple as a fret filing?...
User avatar #10 to #9 - jacksonkingv (09/27/2011) [-]
He filed the **** out of 7-10, didnt file the 1st at all, and barely filed the rest
User avatar #11 to #10 - peruvianskies (09/28/2011) [-]
Next time, find a real luthier... :P

And I did manage to scope out some "cheap" Jackson-style necks. Its tricky, though, since there aren't many 24 fret ones.
