You know if you know how to use photoshop or any program that have a contrasting program if you lower or higher it will affect the value and make your artwork more than what it's actually is :) My friend on deviantart showed me this trick, don't mind me using your picture to use an example. Look how amazing it looks just by sliding up and down the levels

Your proportion is immaculate. All I can suggest is using a darker tone, and working on your tone, it's a little off in places but other than that it's great.

Don't be afraid to go dark, buy some darker pencils, it looks like you used only a HB pencil. Also smudge less in the iris and add some highlights. Sketch a source of light and try to imagine the shadows. Also try to make less lines where the eyelid meets the eye, try to define the border with different shade, make the eye whiter and eyelid darker, this should give you a smoother edge. Overall shape is good, eyebrow, corner of the eye and iris should be more defined. Don't be afraid to go big. Spend a lot of time to make the most precise study. Pick a picture of an eye and try to draw it 100% same. Lightly sketch the shape, iris eyebrow and slowly start filling in. Avoid using too heavy lines. Start lightly and slowly go dark. The pupil should be black. The the darkness will add the depth needed. I'd suggest practicing drawing parts one by one, practice drawing irises, then eyebrows, also practice different styles of shading. Smudging is good for skin, it makes it look smooth, but with iris you have to go sharp and wrinkly. Man, I'm lost in my own comment, ask me everything you want, I'd like to help

I forgot that the police and medical facilities were stopping all their work so they could argue on the internet about gun control.
