anon (12/26/2014) [-] Its more p2w than Dota2. In Dota2 all champions are unlocked by default and free, so if a particular champion is very strong everyone has access to it. Unlike in LoL where new champions can be worked towards for free, but its a massive grind. And I have noticed a trend of new champions always smidging a bit on the overpowered side when they come out.  I kind of agree with you on the first two things but LoL has a pretty decent smurfing problem, despite having a ranking system incredibly similar to Dota's  that's a nope. i have an alt account on league and i don't play against any new player anymore, just other smurf ,and the smurf that match against me was between bronze and silver (they claim) sometime diamond . there are no new player against me for sure. So all in all, league only know if u are a smurf but not what your main account rank is. | ||

peanutsaurusrex ONLINE (12/20/2015) [-] For those with problems with redirect ads or links all over pages look here. You have Adware, which is a form of Malware. This is not a result from FJ, don't pin the blame. This is a result of you downloading something and the adware came with it, usually hidden in with "Recommended Installation" processes. Adblock does block it from appearing but it does NOT stop it from infecting your computer. The reason it appears most on funnyjunk is because of so many page changes (AKA hitting right arrow on content). I can guarantee you if you go around smacking all the links on wikipedia it will happen there too after a while.
First thing you should do is clear your browsers cache.
Chrome: Settings>History>Clear Browsing Data. From the drop down menu select 'from the beginning of time' and checkmark the top 4 boxes. (History, browising history, cookies, cached images and files) and hit Clear.
Firefox: Under Tools / Clear Caches,
Under Tools / Options / Advanced / Cached Web Content.
Restart the system, to complete the process
Internet Explorer: Open Internet Explorer.
IE 8: From the Tools menu choose Internet Options.
IE 9: In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose Internet Options
On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
Check the Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History boxes.
The Form data, Passwords, and inPrivate Filtering data boxes may be left un-checked. You can check them to delete this data if you so choose.
Click Delete.
When finished, click OK to return to your Internet Explorer window.
Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen
If this does not fix the problem I have 2 options for you.
1: You can download a free 30 day trial of Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/ This is for Malware only. Not spyware or viruses. Run it, scan your computer, do the blahbettyblah. If this one doesn't work look at this next option below.
OR
2: I can guide you a step by step process to manually uninstall it from your computer. Reply to this comment with the URLs that you're being redirected to.The easy part is uninstalling it, the hard part is finding which adware it is.
