As others have said, Discworld by Terry Pratchett. There is a nice comp on TPB somewhere of it. Sadly Terry passed away earlier this year. I started reading the Discworld literally the day before he passed, friend who got me to start skypes me and yelled WHAT DID YOU DO... T.T

If you're into Surreal Fantasy Comedy, it is quite possibly the greatest series of books you'll ever read.

Depending on your taste, you'll favour one series of books over the rest.
