i can spread a mean bacon butty, but im sure thats not what yous are talking about :(

it's a method of speaking extremely fast to get more information in your part of the debate. it also helps with the fact that your opponent might not get all of your points in to cross-ex or rebuttal.

Even with my limited knowledge of debating (not even old enough for university yet, but alteast im not too shabby at it. im not a tard) i must say that method of arguing sounds pretty stupid. its kinda like exploiting a system. :/

in oklahoma, we don't do that. i'm a n00b at debate, but i don't think spreading is bad. i just can't do it, so i don't really have an opinion on it :x it is hard, though, and i would get irritated if i was debating with someone and they started spreading even though i wasn't.

and its the beginning of the year. took my about 4 or 5 months to do it. and i was just like that too when i started out, so i put a pen in my mouth and did drills

I'm in Debate 1. Even our first year is a giant bitch. I wasn't expecting this much work. Here in Oklahoma, we don't spread. It's good because I can't talk that fucking fast.
