First, it's a woman in the comic who wants an autograph, and second, it just said she was doing a fashion show, not necessarily a "sexual advertisement".

It's not. I've seen those comics a lot and it's pretty clearly stated that it's a guy.

Alright. We'll analyze.

1. The opening statement was a figure of speech. It is a fact, though, that this is a new generation that is technology savy. Nothing insulting or biased there.

2. Give an example of a child who ignored family (which his family traveled several states to visit) and gifts on Christmas to play Angry Birds. He wasn't an introvert and the fact that you'd make the assumption without more detail tells me you want to get from what I'm saying what you want to hear.

3. The lego statement wasn't finished, I admit it. I DIDN'T mean "back in my day, all I needed was legos." What I meant to explain was that I didn't grow up with iPads, iPhones, high-graphics consoles/games, and high-speed internet. I had legos. It was NOT a jab at this generation, but instead a comparison of someone born in 1991 and someone in 2011.

But you're right...that came off wrong and that's probably where much of the scorn is coming from, but I'm trying to calmly explain that there's more to what I was saying, if you'll let me.

If you're going to take it all personally and debate me on the topic (which you haven't), then the condescending sarcasm is completely unnecessary.

You're right, shrapnelleader, I give exactly three fucks about this and as such I'm taking it personally. At this point, it's almost laughable that you have been defending yourself against us. That sounds like a personal problem.

You completely misunderstood the purpose of my statement. I'm not going on some "back in my day" rant at all.

I only used legos as an example because (for example) none of the kids I work with play with legos. They all play Minecraft. It's not a bad thing neccessarily....it's just an interesting change that has happened over the course of few years.

Things change and I accept that just fine. I'd be the same way if I was their age. Toys, technology, and society is constantly changing and (as I've noticed) becoming more streamlined in the process.

All I did was make an observation. It wasn't even an opinion. I don't see what the fuss is about, but people read what they want to read.

Let's analyze a bit:
"Kids these days play with things offered to their generation that weren't offered in mine. Including toddlers (who will play with just about anything given to them if it isnt immediately edible)

[Insert Anecdote that tells us about a child who was introverted and focused on his own little world as opposed to socializing except when he benefitted from it. Oh, but my discourse is by no means negative]

In my day all I needed to be satisified were lego bricks, Implying that children these days have an insatiable hunger for consumerism and antisocialism."

I mean, fuck, I have no clue why four people responded to you with scorn. No, you by no means assert anything whatsoever in your post. Not at all.
