Well, first off, I don't believe that this all could have happened by chance. The world and everything in it shows off intelligent design. Just look at the stars at night, or even the complexity of your own body. I highly doubt that everything would have fallen in place on accident. And the conservation of matter law kind of disproves the Big Bang theory, so science contradicts itself a bit there.

But I digress. I believe in a Christian God because I grew up learning about it, and as I grew older I became more and more sure of it. The Bible, while sometimes confusing and sometimes downright boring (i.e. Leroy son of Horesh son of Shiskebab etc etc), the morals that are conveyed and how the human race is ultimately helpless to our sin. Just look at history and you'll find corruption and cruelty. We need salvation from our sins, and God sent it to us in the form of his Son, who lived a perfect life and sacrificed himself on our behalf, and after three days rose from the dead, redeeming us and giving us access to live with God in heaven forever when we die.
