That's cool, but it's really only about $1.50 after PayPal fees and Bandcap's cut, right?

It also looks like I'm the only one who chose to pay (so far at least). I'm a small-time content creator myself, so I know how validating it feels when someone actually deems your work as being worth actual money. That's why I try to chip in a little whenever I see someone making things I enjoy, even if the actual money will be negligible in the long run. It's a nice feeling and I like to encourage people to make more stuff :3

Thank you, that's the point Im trying to make. I might be mistaken, but to my knowledge, a muslim is a person who follows the teachings of Mohammad (or so they say) and reads the Koran (or so they say).
#218 - painismysaviour (02/03/2015) [-]
Well, to give some context on my comments - I was born to a moderately religious (Islam) family and all that, but I wouldn't really say that I believe all of it anymore.

In Mosque, it's not uncommon to be chastised about not being a "true muslim" if you don't do certain compulsory things like the 5 daily prayers. Now, obviously not everyone is going to be as aggressive/harsh as our leader, but if I'm not a "true muslim" for sleeping through Fajr, I can't imagine that anyone really considers terrorists "true muslims".

Another comment here relayed some of the factors that led to the rapid destabilization of the political scene in the Middle East during the Cold War, and that's important to remember when trying to understand the culture these people experienced and how they were led to where they are now. A more stable political environment would have prevented the development of a lot of the hatred and violence that has been perpetuated there.

Regarding the quoting of verses of the Quran happening in the comments here. I think a lot are being taken out of context, but some are really just inexcusable from a 21st century mindset. The way I've come to think of it is not as a product of God or anything, but rather a product of the time it was written (~6th century desert). In this context, a lot of the Quran comes across as helpful or useful. It would also be in keeping with the morals of the time period. The problem is people (both muslims and non-muslims) read it and think of it as something that should be taken at face value. I think that's the cause of a lot of the issues in the comments here. Muslims see it as infailable (and are often unaware of ALL the details of the Quran) and non-muslims think Muslims have their moral compasses aligned 100% with the Quran, but that's not true. Not many muslims would go out and murder if the Quran said so.

I think a lot of this could be avoided if people saw the Quran as a product of the time it was written, but that's inherently a problem.

The game evolved at some point during GX to be extremely archtype focussed and it's been that way ever since. If you've been out the loop for half a year, I don't expect you to know most of the decks I listed.

Old school YuGiOh can be played just fine, just not at a typical competitive scene. If you're interested in learning the game as it is now, or ways to play old school YuGiOh nowadays (there's a few) then shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to help. I come here every day... and I love it

It probably won't go under $20 soon because I think it's still in Early Access. It's actually one of the more expensive games I've bought, but it's really the best racing game on PC right now.

Eventually though, it'll get down to that sub-$7.50 sweet spot. In the meantime, you can check out stuff like Burnout: Paradise and other arcadey racing games.

Foxconn IS Samsung, Samsung owns Foxconn, Qualcomm(mobile cpu's) Corning(Gorilla and Saphhire glass), Samsung SDI(mobile batteries for all manufacturers), etc. There is not one modern electronic device that is not touched by Samsung to some degree.
#73 - painismysaviour (09/26/2014) [-]
What? Samsung doesn't own any of those companies. I don't know if you're joking or some conspiracy theorist or what.

However, you are right that a LOT of devices have components manufactured by Samsung, including many of the past generations of iPhone's processors (although they switched for later generations).
