Fullmetal Alchemist. Definitely worth the watch both of the series. They've got one more alike the manga than the other, but they are both awesome. The other one is called Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and is in my opinion the best one, but I think most people whould disagree.

My first was pickachu and I named Her (for some reason I got a girl one which is weird) fruitloop, we kiscked ass together, beat all of the raw pokemon and got mew two, beat the final 4 and Bitch, and then I had to say goodbye to Fruitloop.

Nobody actually asks Link to go adventuring. Heck, I think the only three games in the series that had people specifically ask for Link's help were OoT, Minish Cap, and Skyward Sword. Every other time he was just someone who wandered by and got caught in the events.
