Go listen to people like Slaughterhouse, Macklemore, Hopsin, Lupe Fiasco, Immortal Technique; those are the ones who actually rap things worth listening to. Old school hip-hop is the hip-hop I love, clever word play, metaphors, and actually rapping about this that matter. But shit, just because you've been listening to shitty, generic 'rap' on the radio, doesn't mean the whole genre is bad, it just means that you've been listening to things that are aimed at the lowest common denominator.
