Yeah I remember Cap was anti-registration because he knew someone would hack the registration list. I mean seriously, half of the smartest people on Earth are evil, it would take no time at all. I don't read a lot, but I read the issue where Cap's home in an apartment complex was leveled by a super Nazi. So he felt that if people knew, then they would be a danger to everyone around them.

I think he meant $100 for every $400 made. 25% for the modders so that makes sense

true but SKSE itself will always remain free. hopefully They're saying if people want to make free mods they can and if people want to make paid mods they can but either way you need SKSE and Fores to load most mods The ones worth loading anyway So it'd be a very simple solution, they know it can go down in a way where people won't accept it. If SKSE becomes a paid mod and people decide not to buy it because it's basically a requirement Then noones making money other than what's already programmed to run without SKSE or what's going to have to be reprogramed to run without SKSE

there comes a problem with this. its not like valve is forcing modders to monetize their stuff, the modders can be greedy fucks too and they just never had the option to do this before. from an outside perspective this looks like "make your mods for us but you dont get anything in return!" honestly.
in my opinion this paywall is crap, but the modders themselves are more to blame.

do these things actually do anything?

I actually googled if any of those things work, and the first link was a top 5 (so I guess there would be more). They changed random crap like teen magazines not photoshoping models any more and shits.

They got GTA pulled. [not that that says much]
If steam users are really pissed over valve trying to ring change out of people who will in turn will back off of paying for games on steam, they'll change their mind on this hopefully.
