You have Benehart's fake version, which is a little shorter and wider than the real deal. The actual sword also glows a lot nicer.

they made a longsword have a blue blade, and i had remembered a video some someone using both weapons, but could not remember what it was

Vault 81, you meet her near the end of a quest they give you at the vault.

There's a dude called Hawethorn in the dugout Inn, he'll mark it on your map if you talk to him.

you have to fetch a cat first, from then just do the vault quest they give you.
Can't miss it

Go to Vault 81, gain entrance, and speak to a child named Erin. After that speak to Dr. Penske and that should start the quest.

That's how it starts according to the FO wiki, I stumbled across the quest myself.
