Because not everyone goes at 70mph. There can be - and are - people who drive significantly lower than the speed limit, and are often in the wrong lane, leading to people getting frustrated and angry and potentially causing accidents.

Hence why OP feels the need to educate on this subject.

free market=/= capitalism
Anarchy is about a lack of hierarchies in our social interactions, and capitalism is based off of hierarchy so it wouldn't work with it.
User avatar #159 - adu (01/23/2014) [-]
Unregulated free market IS capitalism. What you're thinking of is corporatism. Anarchists don't want to abolish all hierarchies, because that's impossible, even families operate based on a system of superiors. Anarchists are just against government systems that use force to coerce others into doing what it says.

Most of the anarchists I know are Ancaps, and I've yet to meet one that has crazy hair or is unemployed.
#166 - fefe (01/23/2014) [-]
ancaps a lonely creature originated in the USA and promptly took a big dump on the old anarchists because the old anarchists meant that ownership is an oppressive form of power meant to keep the poor down. the simple dream that man should live free without oppression,

User avatar #167 - adu (01/23/2014) [-]
To live "without ownership" is not even a coherent concept. Everything is owned by something or someone, whether permanently or temporarily, and everyone will own something until the point of their death.

Because they're going to believe that? Considering we have our phones everyday, that one day you just so happen to not have your phone? Also, she probably already saw your phone considering you just had to send that text.

Do you really think that would work?

Because that is a fucking awful idea.

"I left it at home"
"I lost my phone"
#28 - onyxleigion (01/20/2014) [-]
In your locker-won't work, previously addressed by the fact that most of us always have our phones
left at home-same situation
lost-when was the last time you actually lost your phone? yeah. she knows that.
User avatar #20 - qwertymnbv (01/20/2014) [-]
Well they can't frisk you for a phone...
#21 - onyxleigion (01/20/2014) [-]
But they can write you up for defiance and lying to school board employees.
User avatar #36 - skypatrol (01/20/2014) [-]
No, they can't... Because there would be no way to prove it.
My old history teacher would take our phones during tests and quizzes, and even though i didn't use my phone, i never gave it to him. I didn't feel he had a right to take my property that I worked a job to pay for (yeah my parents didn't pay any bills because they were both douches)
#38 - onyxleigion (01/21/2014) [-]
They do have the right, because you sign forms when you register, that give them the right. He probably just didnt feel like doing the paperwork
User avatar #39 - skypatrol (01/21/2014) [-]
No, they don't. Those papers don't give them the right to do whatever they want. They are simply for agreeing that ICE, they can take steps.
If they want to search you, they HAVE to call a police officer to do it for them. During which you can be detained in the principals office.
There are other financial parts to those papers, but public schools usually don't even make you sign those.
I actually read them because I had to sign for myself...
#42 - onyxleigion (01/21/2014) [-]
They can, because the papers will have a specific part in them that says they can.
#43 - skypatrol (01/21/2014) [-]
#45 - onyxleigion (01/21/2014) [-]
I can guarantee you that there was a point where it said that the teachers reserve the right to make their own rules about phones in their rooms.
User avatar #46 - skypatrol (01/21/2014) [-]
"rules about phones"
yeah, you cant use them during class.
if it goes off, it gets taken.
anything that serves as a distraction to the rest of the class can be taken away.
Doesn't mean that they can confiscate them before you take a test. If you aren't using improperly, then it cannot be taken.
#47 - onyxleigion (01/21/2014) [-]
Like I said, they can make their own rules. That means, if they say that you can't have them on you during a test, then you can't. And if you do, guess what, you just broke that rule. Meaning they can. But, what this picture shows isn't confiscation. Its just making sure you don't cheat. And I've become bored of this conversation. I'm not responding anymore.
User avatar #48 - skypatrol (01/21/2014) [-]
jesus christ how dense do you get.
you just passed a black hole on the periodic chart.
If. They. Haven't. Distracted. The. Class. Then. They. Cannot. Take. Them. Away. From. You.
its not hard to grasp. They cant say:
"you cant have your phone on you... OH LOOK AT THAT IN YOUR POCKET, GIVE IT TO ME, IT MUST BE A PHONE!!!"
You mine as well take the constitution and shove it down your dickhole.
#50 - onyxleigion (01/21/2014) [-]
Social Contract theory.

When you sign up for school, you sign papers saying they can. You LITERALLY give away your constitutional rights. They can take it, because you signed away your right for them not to be able to.

So, in conclusion, you are the dense one. Shut the fuck up already.
User avatar #53 - skypatrol (01/21/2014) [-]
holy fuck ive never seen someone so stupid.
The reason why they dont take away your constitutional rights is because if they did, the contract would to WAY TOO MOTHERFUCKING EASY to overturn in court
#56 - onyxleigion (01/21/2014) [-]
social contract or social compact
1. (Philosophy) (in the theories of Locke, Hobbes, Rousseau, and others) an agreement, entered into by individuals, that results in the formation of the state or of organized society, the prime motive being the desire for protection, which entails the surrender of some or all personal liberties

Social contract theory. When you sign those papers, you waive certain rights. And no, you couldn't overturn it in court. Why? You signed it. You agreed. After that, it really doesn't matter. If you had taken a basic Government course, you would understand this.

You are the fucking idiot.
User avatar #57 - skypatrol (01/22/2014) [-]
