I can not comprehend such stupidity.

Time is not randomly chosen, it was based on a cycle that we discovered way back.
Weight and distance, however, are chosen randomly, and while ours is either 10 or 1000 to the next value, yours is some ridiculous shit. Our system is easier to memorize, and easier to transfer values. 1500 MM = 1,5 Meters. You would have to convert 1500 whatever into feet, then into yards and then into miles, if needed.
Most likely, with numbers like 12, 3, you have a big chance of ending up with numbers like X,xuxzitnfuckyouifg etc.

TL;DR? Fuck you kid, read it.
