Being the next generation isn't just about being more powerful or making a new model look, it's about new technology that makes games different, like motion controls are what set this past generation apart. I don't know about the PS4 and X1, but I know the Wii U's thing is that the controller is a controller with a screen in it, which, while it might sound bad, is very comfortable and works very well.
#42 - WHATTHEPISSTRAINE (05/24/2013) [-]
Its also not new technology in any way shape or form its a hand held console that attaches itself to a TV base.. the psp did that, the gameby did that.. Motion control is even older. There is no new technology with any consoles out there now. The new tech is being pushed into PC parts nowadays, its about high performance pushing the boundary of what was once Top. And consoles get the shart left over. there is no innovation

Fun Fact: The vast majority of US dept is domestic, owed to people and businesses within America. Only a small fraction is owed to other countries, a smaller fraction of that to china.
That still adds up to a fuckton of money, but it pales in comparison to what America owes, well, itself.

The chinese say, they have this much liquid money. wouldn't trust them at all with those numbers, because nobody can really proof them. Rumors say, that they are in big trouble too, because of the way too fast demographic change in china.
But there are still a lot of smaller nations which are dept free, or the debts can still be easily paid back.

Britain is the Islands, a geographical term.
Great Britain is all countries under the Union Flag, (Scotland,Wales, Northern Ireland, and England combined. The UK is not technically a country but a Kingdom, think the EU with a Queen.
England, Wales, Scot etc. are all their own countries with their own government, however England, being the most populated, wealthy and historically dominant trumps theirs. However, the Republic of Ireland (the South of Ireland) are their own independent country outside of the United Kingdom, and certainly get quite pissed at being referred to as being part of the UK!!
#26 - jollybollocks (05/23/2013) [-]
Mostly right. The United Kingdom was originally just Scotland and England (which controlled Wales). Technically Wales,Scotland.England and Northern Ireland are all seperate countries and have some form of regional parliament however the majority of decisions regarding everything are made in London, because England is essentially in charge of everything.

Oops. Ok thank you! I knew that the large majority of Ireland (meaning the southern part) was it's own country, but all the other things I was completely misinformed on. For some reason it always seemed like this was something I was supposed to have learned in 1st or 2nd grade, but I missed a day, and when we re-learned it in highschool I didn't want to seem like a dumbass not knowing how one of the major powers in the world's government/borders/whatever worked

**onederman rolls 1,719**
There are not 1000 numbers in 0-999 (*roll 4*) , there are 10,000 numbers because of 1 through 9999 plus the 0 equals ten thousand or 10000, and a 1 in 10 chance of quads, so it's 10/10000 = 1/1000, not 10/1000 = 1/100. Rolling ones (1, 2, 3, etc.) is 100% chance, rolling dubs ( 00, 11, 22, 33, etc.) is 10% chance, rolling trips (000, 1111, 222, 333, etc.) is 1% chance, so rolling quads (I think you get the point) is .1% or 1/1000 chance.
Wow, that was a lot more than I meant to type.
TL;DR: *roll 4* has 10000 possible numbers, not 1000 like you said.

I agree, showing a proportion or maybe the sample size along with the data would have been more enlightening. But even then who, how, and where they asked that question could influence it two. So they need to show the entire study for it to mean anything. Gotta consider those lurking variables.
