This is what I'm saying there's people who actually want to find logic and a science to God, but then people like you throw all logic out the window. Cause if you say God is love you're also automatically saying the opposite. I'm basing this off logic and science, what are you basing your words off?

I'm not saying it's fact, it's completely theory, this isn't "religion", it's based on logic. I really don't think living my life based on love would really harm anyone, just cause I don't live my life like you doesn't mean I'm wrong. There is no right and wrong in this world, I'm saying we're just the universe obersving itself, we're the same atoms from the big bang, this is supported by science, science tells us we are all one, and I say the same thing except that oneness is love

In short, this is not science.
User avatar
#153 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
"Quantum physicists have shown that the electron behaves differently when being observed by a human."
Nope. A common misconception. IT has nothing to do with humans, and everything to do with the fact that observing (measuring) something will inevitably affect it.

"Observations on OBE (Out of Body Experience) and NDE (Near Death Experience ) show that while the body is in an anaesthetized or inactive state, consciousness can remain dis-embodied, observe events from outside the body, and later re-localize in the brain. "
This is just patently false.
It has never, ever been shown that someone in OBE can observe things that their bodies should not be able to observe. (IE, seeing the opposite side of a piece of paper)

So the premises are just straight-up wrong.
I'm not going to keep on reading.
User avatar
#214 - onceman (07/24/2016) [-]
Also measuring things is a human concept, what measurements do you know that existed before humans did so yeah it is a human affect
User avatar
#215 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
Any interaction with the world also counts as "observing"
It has nothing to do with humans.
User avatar
#239 - onceman (07/26/2016) [-]
Oh okay I get it so like if a fly or ant were to literally develop the ability to observe electrons okay thank you that makes sense. They would have to have consciousness for that tho...
funny, that's something only humans have on this earth

User avatar
#240 - testaburger (07/26/2016) [-]
You still don't get it.
If a fly bumps into the electron, or in some other way physically interacts with it, that counts as observing.

It has literally nothing to do with humans.
If a rock falls on the electron, that would count too.
Observance is interference, we call it observance because the kind of interference that's relevant to humans is the one caused by measuring the electron (IE, observing it)
User avatar
#241 - onceman (07/26/2016) [-]
It can never bump into an electron, only the object in which the electron is. Are you saying if a fly bumbs into something the electrons in it will turn to waves, genuine question.
User avatar
#242 - testaburger (07/26/2016) [-]
I don't know enough about quantum mechanics to say that.
Ask a physicist.
User avatar
#243 - onceman (07/26/2016) [-]
See the answer to that would tell me if I'm right you are. I don't know of anything not human or atomic that could interact directly with an electron so which tells me what you say isn't 100%
User avatar
#244 - testaburger (07/26/2016) [-]
It doesn't matter who does interact with them directly.
The point is that it's the interaction that counts as observing, and that the interaction itself has no link with humans.

If aliens are real, they could do it.
If you taught a chimp how to use a simple machine, you could make it do it for you.

The "observer" could be a cockroach that walks across a pressure plate connected to a machine. Humans are entirely irrelevant to the actual interaction.
User avatar
#245 - onceman (07/26/2016) [-]
Human conscousness or some form of consciousness that goes beyond animal instics still plays part in all your examples tho
User avatar
#246 - testaburger (07/26/2016) [-]
Because consciousness and subatomic particles are the only ways you and I know that might directly affect an electron.
So what?

The premise was that humans, and specifically humans looking at electrons was somehow magical, which we've established it isn't, as any interaction will do the trick.
The premise is therefore rejected.

I did explain to you why I don't think it's an emotion. Also I'm talking about self love. Emotions are reactions, self love is not a reaction and neither is the love one shows when they die trying to save another's life, it's just unconditional love for humanity.
User avatar
#252 - testaburger (07/26/2016) [-]
You didn't explain it.
You just said you didn't think it was a human thing.

What do you mean by self-love, and how is it not the result of a chemical reaction, when literally every other feeling is?
User avatar
#156 - onceman (07/24/2016) [-]
Okay well do you believe there's a oneness to the world? Like us just being the particles that were in the big bang, meaning we're the universee experiencing itself?
User avatar
#157 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
What do you mean by "oneness"?

We're part of the universe, and we're experiencing parts of the universe.
We are not the entirety of the universe.
That's just a catchy phrase.
User avatar
#162 - onceman (07/24/2016) [-]
I think if you were to somehow break down all the matter in the universe to an atomic level then somehow put all the atoms together you'd have the star core the big bang speaks of. I know that's impossible but I hope you get what Im saying
So like the buildings and furniture and all the physical things we create all took taking from the earth to create, so really they are still the earth in a way, you can't create matter so people just took from earth and the put what they took back on earth, technically those things are just ideas
User avatar
#166 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
"technically those things are just ideas"
I get that you're not actually "creating" furniture, you're just putting some stuff together, but how is that related to ideas?
User avatar
#170 - onceman (07/24/2016) [-]
cause what you did was put pieces of the earth together, your idea is the chair but chair isn't a thing of the world, it's strictly a thing of the human mind. We didn't create anything because we had to take something away from the earth. I know that the chair is now real because humans "created it" but the chair is the earth first and foremost
User avatar
#171 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
... the chair is made of materials gathered on Earth, yes.
What's your point?
User avatar
#172 - onceman (07/24/2016) [-]
I was explaining that's how the universe is it's one things's matter spread out and how said matter came together over time
User avatar
#174 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
Yes, it's one thing that's made up of smaller things.
So what?
User avatar
#251 - onceman (07/26/2016) [-]
yes we are the universe you and I are one thing, I think and rember I said I think, that it means something, if we were connected then, how are we not connected now, the connection is love I THINK
User avatar
#253 - testaburger (07/26/2016) [-]
But why do you think all these things?

And how are we one thing? I'm testaburger and you're onceman. That's two different things.
We're both part of the universe, but that's just a matter of definition.
I could make up a concept right now that ONLY consists of you and me, and that would mean literally nothing in the grand scheme of things.
User avatar
#150 - onceman (07/24/2016) [-]
Cause I see love,I've felt it, and I don't think it's a human emotion, I think it works outside of humanity. Also I think the love within all humans is always there, we have the potential to love every single human in the world (not that it will happen but the potential for it to happen exists). Also, when someone dies you can't really get mad at them, you can't laugh at something they say, they can't make you happy, but you can still love them like you did when they were on earth right? Question why that is
www.nasa.gov/feature/jpl/particles-in-love-quantum-mechanics-explored-in-new-study this article supports that I think
User avatar
#152 - testaburger (07/24/2016) [-]
Why don't you think love is a human emotion?
Oxytocin is the hormone responsible for making you "feel love"

The article literally has nothing to do with love.
They're trying to be cute by using it.
