Yeah, that's the thing. I don't ever remember seeing an instance when a period couldn't just be used instead, except when a semicolon could perhaps add a little fluidity between the two separate ideas... but whenever I've asked about the correct positioning of a semicolon, my professor's just been like "EH JUST USE A PERIOD INSTEAD"

I love metal, my favorite metal band is tool, and before all I listened to was metal and rock (including subgenres and their sub genres) which made me hate all rap and Lil Wayne. I'm not trying to change you, I'm just saying don't let your opinions be influenced stictly on your beliefs and what you've heard, Wayne even said something along the lines of "evaluate before you make an opinion"

I listen to him and enjoy him, but I'm not going to insult you, I consider myself a very intelligent person, and try not to conform to funnyjunk's blind hate of Waye. His new stuff is why everyone hates him, but people who have actually gone a bit deeper into his work know he has great potential, and I have tons of respect for him because of how hard he worked to get to the top, watch his documentary it will test your ignorance, I used to hate him as well.
