IDK how bad Hamilton is, but there's a place in in my state known as Camden. At one point it surpassed Detroit as the most dangerous place in the Country. Made some wrong turns in here late at night while visiting my brother. I still shudder at the thought of going back there.

I don't live there, but as far as I know, it's just boring and industrial. It may not be safe as fuck or anything, but it's not like ghetto as hell.

Yep. It's a complete hell hole. My bro goes to Uni in Philadelphia so the best way for me to commute is through the NJ Turnpike to the Ben Franklin Bridge. Unfortunately I forget my EZ Pass and had no cash to cross. The guy tells me to pass, make the next right into a Apartment Complex where there's an ATM machine to draw out cash and I'd come back to give him the cash. But as soon as I make my right into the apartment, I noticed I was in the heart of Camden, it was a warm night and everyone was out. THE ENTIRE BLOCK WAS OUT! I was nearly on the verge of shitting bricks and they all noticed as I drove down the street that I was not from the area. The tension was insane. I didn't even bother going in and taking it out, who knows what'd happen. So I go back to another toll and the guy tells me the same thing, I say "Sure no problem" and just head to the bridge. Seriously this place is a cesspool of crime ad corruption.

Toronto is actually pretty awesome (living there currently). Montreal, Quebec City, hell, anywhere in the province of Quebec is horrible.
