Didn't see the comment, sorry.

But yes I agree. I also think the main questline could be expanded since all the previous dragonborns have become great leaders and often kings and emperors. Just implementing more options of gaining positions of power in the game. But make them hard to reach and whatever, but the game structure as of now would water down that experience too I reckon.

Well Oblivion made you go to other towns via fighters and mages guild.
Skyrim has some cool additions, but it takes away too much for me.

I reckon they should have got rid of that 'Dragonborn' crap, and just had dragons be unbelievably powerful things that you need to run away from until you get very powerful. It really says something when I had more fun fighting a mammoth than a dragon.

And another thing... in Oblivion it's a temperate/warm climate for the most part.

And the fur and leather armour looks warm in that game. In Skyrim which is snowy? Nooo, they're just using small leather straps. Didn't make sense to me.

Tried to make the armour look cooler or something I guess, whilst Oblivion had most armour looking... standard.
User avatar #155 - omnomnominator (08/07/2013) [-]
Honestly, I think snowy mountains for an entire location is a terrible idea. It stopped them from having huge, grand locations such as Imperial City, it was just villages all over the place. In theory, a land at war with itself and dragons is a great idea, but for an open world game, it just sort of wrecks the 'do as you want' feel of the game.

No it wouldn't. See this is the atheist bullshit I'm talking about, and I'm an atheist.

Religion derives from culture, usually based upon nature. The moon, the stars, the seasons, which just happened to evolve into forms of theism we know today. Legends and such are similar and you have to remember organized religion didn't exist for a long time, for this claim to be correct religion as it's definable today would have had to existed from all time in a similar form, but it did not. User avatar #290 - haseotakaeda (07/05/2013) [-]
Yes.
Yes and no. You're right that it comes from culture and nature but we looked to nature to find something greater than ourselves during those times and we evolved into that state
It's different now.
User avatar #243 - omnomnominator (07/02/2013) [-]
I'd argue it was more a psychological imperative, if humans always believed that there was no reason to live and nothing when they die, everyone would go mad and it'd be chaos.
