The momentum would've carried them away from the wheel, and from what I can see, no one's seriously hurt.

Labs are one credit but they usually go along with a lectured lab science so you really end up getting 4 credits. but everything you've said is correct for the USA, the only thing is that when I was at community college I did take a 2 credit course for fitness. But that's the only two credit course I've ever seen.
#15 - dreher (02/11/2016) [-]
Sounds a bit wied to me. Here it ranges from 2 - 6. Above 4 are usually some difficult main classes like Calculus or Physics for engineers. 4 is the standard pretty much.
Last semester I had 38 credits and that was 9 lectures.

in other words, how many credits do you need to have to graduate (master's program)?

here we need 300cr after five years to get Mgr./Ing.
#49 - xfrankie (02/11/2016) [-]
average college class is 3 credits?
12 credits is typically 4 classes?
21 credits in one semester is basically suicide?

wat?

'round here 12 credits (4 classes) is "full-time student"... or at least it was a decade ago when I was starting college. I was considered "full time" even though I was only taking 4 or 5 classes a semester.
#22 - sacrilegious (02/11/2016) [-]
In a quarter system, classes are usually worth five credits and you take three of them, so a 21 credit class would be four or five classes.

So every class is worth 3 credits?
User avatar
#14 - ohnomynamedoesntfi (02/11/2016) [-]
Typically, yes. Lectures are usually 3 credits. Labs (which involve actual experimentation and can last 2-3 hours per session) are typically 1 credit, some more difficult classes (like intermediate calculus) are 4 credits. I don't think I've ever taken a class that was 2 credits, if my memory serves me correctly.
