The most likely protested the texas funeral because they believe that if someone dies in an unnatural way, they deserved it because that was God's "punishment" or some shit. Also, I think (but I'm not sure) they believe that burying the dead and leaving condolences is "idol worshiping" so that might be another reason.

They do it because they genuinely believe that these deaths and to an extent ALL unnatural deaths are a punishment from god for sinning. They don't particularly look into who they protest, they just assume they must be sinners (ergo some of the soldier funeral protests).
They take a special liking to protesting the funeral of gay people and large media deaths, because more people will see it and they hope to 'Spread their cause'.

They basically think that people should FEAR god to the highest extent, that women should be handed to husbands by their fathers, that prayer should be mandatory and that not believing in what they do should be punishable by death.

TLDR: They are cray-cray.

In reality, they are hate mongering ass holes who pervert religion to get what they want. They don't care, they WANT shit like this to happen so they can sue and get money.

I agree with you. I don't date douche bags, they're annoying. I don't need a man who showers me in gifts, but I don't need an asshole who doesn't treat me right. I understand that there are some guys who do get friend-zoned by bitches, but not all of us are bitches because we don't like you. However, I would never take someone's gifts, no matter how hard they insisted, I would feel terrible. I would tell them that I was uninterested, and that I am sorry that I don't feel the same way.
