 Fair enough, but even if you teach your child those things, a large amount of the time, they'll forgo that teaching to impress their friends or just for shits and giggles.  And this is why we can't do things because we have to worry about the impact on everybody else which takes the fun out of life... If a kid makes the decision to do something against what they're taught, then they need to be disciplined. We can't put soft corners on every single issue in the world... | ||

| It's not about the rules, it's about the morals. It looks like an elementary school. Highly influenced kids. They'll see their principle, a roll model they look up to literally in this case , up on the roof, they're going to think it's okay, then get in trouble when they actually do it. I wasn't thinking about that, so it is a valid point. But, you also need to teach your kids not to do something just because some one else did it. Adults are allowed to drive, they're allowed to climb really high ladders to work on things, they're allowed to deal with fire and hot stoves and sharp knives, etc., all in front of children. You don't avoid having children witness those actions, you just make a point of teaching them limits and safety. | Yes, it was always the same shape since it was the same letters in essentially the same font. It's possible that the J could be slightly closer to the F in this one making that "box" more pronounced, but it would always have existed with the interlocking block letter design | ||

| As far as I know coloured was used solely for black people. This is a term for anyone who is anything but white. And *shrugs* Lots of terms that were once considered bad later get reclaimed/have the meaning altered so it's no long offensive. Like queer, which used to be a major insult, and is now something some people identify as if they don't want to get specific. | ||

Man, I will try to work on it but I have realized how bad Pottermore tests are. Reading up on all wood types, I realize how important the personality is, and how little the tests says about your personality. My wand, and my friend's, doesn't fit at all.
In other words, it's better to go through all types of wood, pick a couple which ideal master fits you to at least some degree, ask those who know you the best which one of those fits you best, then make up your mind depending on what they say.
So, with that in mind I discussed with my friends and my family, and concluded that Red Oak or Dogwood fit me best, which means I must re-design my own wand. However, while I do that I'll try to do yous at the same time

nyxeos (02/04/2015) [-] Well apple does fit me relatively well. I don't consider myself particularly charming, but I get along with anyone. And I do really love animals. Cedar would work really well for me too, as would ash, both because I am really stubborn/loyal (hence the rigid aspect, and even the unicorn core). So you can take what you want from that.
And no worries about my wand. It's completely on your schedule, like I said before I'm just happy to get one, so I don't mind waiting.
