And if she chose to never have kids? And the 20 year old who had cancer and got a hysterectomy without ever having children?

Anyways. I was up for debating but you're not debating, just saying what you want without offering any kind of reason behind it. Marriage has little to do with children, so it makes no sense for the base reasoning of marriage to be the creation of children. Especially when we live in a time where we should encourage fewer children, not more. I'm done with this conversation now, so have a nice day.

well this is why i support abortion. if a parent doesn't want a kid we should let them die. and gay people shouldn't be the reason for having kids to give them up for adoption
User avatar
#169 - nyxeos (01/08/2016) [-]
Abortion is an entirely different subject. There will still be kids in the system from parents that die, parents that change their mind, and parents that are not capable. There will still be too many children in the system. Gay people aren't a reason for anything. Gay people aren't the only ones in need of adoption services (nor do gay people always adopt, they are capable of having children with donors)

You also completely avoided the other point of my previous comment. Do you disallow marriage for all people who are unable to produce children, and further do you disallow marriage for all people who do not want children. If the only purpose of marriage is for reproduction as you're trying to claim, then the only people who should be allowed to get married are people who produce children.

Yes, that's why I said if you wanted to be technical about it. It wouldn't be for the same level of sexual gratification that develops later, but it's still for a type of stimulation. And not really weird. The nerve endings in your genitals don't suddenly appear in puberty. Like I said, it's just natural.

I have digitalized and updated wand design. Went for a more simple wand, with dueling in mind thus the crooked design.
User avatar #56 to #55 - nyxeos (02/01/2015) [-]
That's pretty cool How long did it take you to make it?
#57 to #56 - psdeath (02/02/2015) [-]
I have no idea, but not too long. Perhaps an hour, perhaps two, tops three. Draw some lines, use bucket, draw more lines, use bucket, fine-tune with single pixel pencil (because I'm a scrub), and fix details. Done.

Oh and thank you. I updated the unexpected effects section a bit to match my impulsive nature.
User avatar #59 to #58 - nyxeos (02/02/2015) [-]
Well, while still awesome, I do have to laugh at the fact that you purposefully described your wand as shooting off prematurely haha. And hey, if you're looking for more to do feel free to make me a wand and I will forever think you're awesome. No pressure though, it'd just be something cool to have.
User avatar #60 to #59 - psdeath (02/03/2015) [-]
The only reason I could do this was because it was simple, but I'd gladly try! Remind me of what wand you've got, and what kind of design you have in mind and I'll try to make something out of it.

Oh and my username is CloakRune13693, if you feel like adding me.
User avatar #61 to #60 - nyxeos (02/03/2015) [-]
11 3/4 inches, Apple wood with unicorn hair core and rigid. I don't have anything in mind really since I'd be happy with anything, but maybe something a little more natural than yours? If that makes sense. I added you, and feel free to message me with more questions if you want more direction, but it's honestly up to you because you're amazing for just doing it haha.
#62 to #61 - anon (02/04/2015) [-]
Man, I will try to work on it but I have realized how bad Pottermore tests are. Reading up on all wood types, I realize how important the personality is, and how little the tests says about your personality. My wand, and my friend's, doesn't fit at all.

In other words, it's better to go through all types of wood, pick a couple which ideal master fits you to at least some degree, ask those who know you the best which one of those fits you best, then make up your mind depending on what they say.

So, with that in mind I discussed with my friends and my family, and concluded that Red Oak or Dogwood fit me best, which means I must re-design my own wand. However, while I do that I'll try to do yous at the same time
User avatar #63 to #62 - nyxeos (02/04/2015) [-]
Well apple does fit me relatively well. I don't consider myself particularly charming, but I get along with anyone. And I do really love animals. Cedar would work really well for me too, as would ash, both because I am really stubborn/loyal (hence the rigid aspect, and even the unicorn core). So you can take what you want from that.

And no worries about my wand. It's completely on your schedule, like I said before I'm just happy to get one, so I don't mind waiting.

Not as much as I'd like. I spent an entire summer there once though. Went with my parents for a three week vacation, then they went home and I stayed until school started again. Have you traveled much outside Newfoundland?
