USA and Canada You sounded offended when you said "that northern part which is called Canada" I wasn't offended. I was just trying to make a joke out of it, didn't say it rudely. We usually laughed together about it while they apologized. The US and Canada are different though. Very similar yes, but different. I'm not American, so I why wouldn't I correct them? | ||

I guarantee you've at some point in your life mistook a Japanese person for Korean. Or an Columbian for a Mexican. Like Jesus Crist do people get offended easily. It's like expecting me to be able to tell the exact breed of your cat just by looking at it. People look the same, and talk the same quiet frequently. Again, I was never offended. I corrected them in a joking manner. The problem isn't that they thought I might be American. But, they could have asked "are you American," and I'd say no I'm Canadian. They could have just asked "where are you from," rather than assuming something specific. As for the geography, I didn't expect them to know it, but they would make assumptions about it while knowing nothing. And since they knew exactly where my American friends lived, I thought they might have at least a rough idea about my country. It turned out they didn't, and it was funny. I shared this to share a funny experience with culture differences and misunderstandings, and ironically offended you apparently. Why would you be offended by that, it's basically the same thing #199 -

One of my favourite moments was when one of my professors asked me what my thoughts were on the Japanese maple trees in suburban Vancouver in the book we were reading. My class was pretty dumbfounded when I explained that Vancouver is about the same distance from my home as where I was in England is to my home. People never realize just how large it is. | ||

I don't have anything in mind really since I'd be happy with anything, but maybe something a little more natural than yours? If that makes sense. Man, I will try to work on it but I have realized how bad Pottermore tests are. Reading up on all wood types, I realize how important the personality is, and how little the tests says about your personality. My wand, and my friend's, doesn't fit at all.
In other words, it's better to go through all types of wood, pick a couple which ideal master fits you to at least some degree, ask those who know you the best which one of those fits you best, then make up your mind depending on what they say.
So, with that in mind I discussed with my friends and my family, and concluded that Red Oak or Dogwood fit me best, which means I must re-design my own wand. However, while I do that I'll try to do yous at the same time

nyxeos (02/04/2015) [-] Well apple does fit me relatively well. I don't consider myself particularly charming, but I get along with anyone. And I do really love animals. Cedar would work really well for me too, as would ash, both because I am really stubborn/loyal (hence the rigid aspect, and even the unicorn core). So you can take what you want from that.
And no worries about my wand. It's completely on your schedule, like I said before I'm just happy to get one, so I don't mind waiting.
