Not that it's a bad thing at all, it's just very hard to get a job working with them because of location. Where I live isn't exactly crime-laden, so they would be paying me a lot for hardly doing anything, which is bad for them. Working for a government justice system was the original idea in my head, like Abby from NCIS.

I guess that's the reason a lot of people like forensics. Well that sucks you could move to places with a lot of work, that's what a lot of people do. Go to miami and become the new dexter, or you can go work for the FBI (or you state equivalent).

There's not much in the way of jobs really. I've looked, and it's hard as fuck to find a good one. Most is associated closely with police force, but being a fresh out of Uni, eager-to-work kind of person just crushed my idea of it into a harsh reality. There's not many people going for the jobs, at least not in my area anyways.

Wait, being assosciated with the police is a bad thing? If that's the case what was your original idea? I'm not sure if I get what your saying.

Ohh man, there's so many seperates and sub-branches of every field of science imaginable. You can't do Forensics unless you pick a specialty to work with, so you can pick toxicology and study gases and poisons, ballistics for projectile tracing, some do fingerprint and DNA tracking, oh man, there's loads.
User avatar #57 - nustix (11/16/2014) [-]
I bet that it's quite the popular study right now is are there a lot of jobs or is it a case of oversaturation?

User avatar #54 - sciencexplain (11/16/2014) [-]
The free radicals don't force the body to replace cells. Free radicals damage the cells until they reach a point where replacement is vital for optimal function and cell death prevention.

I mastered in Forensic Sciences, with a specialty in toxicology and ballistics studies, but that never gets used. I was always quite bad at the Biology, but I have lots of sources to pull information from. I'll admit, I did have to look a bit of that up, but I only ever do it to make sure that I'm saying the right stuff and not misinforming.
User avatar #55 - nustix (11/16/2014) [-]
When you did a study looking things up is necessary it's impossible to know everything about every niche of your study, you just remember things about your specialty and you can look up the rest of it. And with a study like that I guess you need to know a lot about everything, I didn't even know it was a seperate study.

Also, that's what I meant by forcing to replace cells it just phrased it really bad.
