User avatar #102 - numbertwozeldafan (02/19/2015) [-]
Shadowcaster is a base class introduced in the Tome of Magic book for 3.5. It's easily my favorite class (though I've only ever put it on two characters) and has a shit-tonne of cool unique class features, such as the fact that their "mysteries" don't count as actual spells, so negate/absorb and such don't affect them. Also? Shadow familiar.

User avatar #536 - heartlessrobot (02/20/2015) [-]
What makes it not a bullet?
If you have a large enough explosion behind it and something relatively gun shaped to fire it out of, what makes it not a bullet?
User avatar #537 - drakevil (02/20/2015) [-]
""Bullet" is derived from the French word boulette which roughly means little ball."
Source: Wikipedia

"a small metal projectile, part of a cartridge, for firing from small arms"
Source: dictionary.reference.com

"a small piece of metal or another material that is shot out of a gun."
Source: www.merriam-webster.com

"The definition of a bullet is a small ball or cone-shaped projectile which is shot from a gun, or a solid dot at the beginning of a line of type for emphasis."
Source: www.yourdictionary.com

It has to be a small projectile to be a bullet. Case closed.
User avatar #544 - heartlessrobot (02/22/2015) [-]
Small compared to what?
I'd have to say that's completely relative.
#548 - drakevil (02/22/2015) [-]
Seriously? You need a comparision with something to know what's small? Do you need a comparision to know when something is far? Or when something is hot? Or when something is hard?

Well, here's you comparision, then:
At left you have a ssk .905 caliber, the biggest bullet ever made. At right, a 2 mm Kolibri, smallest gun ever made with the smallest bullet ever made. The First one may look big, and it is for a bullet, but is still smaller enough to be shot of a rifle. So if you need something more detailed, a bullet is anything between those, for anything smal is useless and anything bigger would only be abble to be shoot out of a cannon.

Haven't you heard how she's now indoctrinating children in public schools to make them believe boys are evil and videogames are sexist?
#366 - anonexplains (02/19/2015) [-]
Just saying, as a teacher, if she did that to my kids, I would bring them back in the class and point out all the flaws in her logic and tell my boys and my girls that there's no way they're evil just because someone came in and tried to make them feel that way. I'm not letting anyone make any of my kids feel inferior no matter what.

>Implying children ever pay attention in assemblies
Why do you think the D.A.R.E. program is a complete failure? It's had no effect on drug use in middle to high schoolers.
User avatar #234 - aldkai (02/18/2015) [-]
Why do you think christianity was a success

Those who can't teach,preach.
User avatar #235 - heartlessrobot (02/18/2015) [-]
Christianity has been a success since it has historical basis, constant reinforcement since a young age, and made the most sense when it started.
School assemblies are once a year things, and drug use itself has historical basis. Hating boys is definitely NOT a major part of history, and few videogames give legitimate reason to be considered sexist nowadays, so that all seems like insane raving to any person with common sense.
User avatar #241 - aldkai (02/18/2015) [-]
Look,it catches on SO WELL with "educated adults" today, the worst hit are campus (the supposed SEAT of knowledge of our world),the mass media is reinforcing this narrative;she's preparing them to a faster transition into this bullshit, and the assembly doesn't actually mean they just talk about it once. It means the school approves of these views and will make it so to have the children conform over it after she's done. By a matter of rule, you should not preach to children anyway.
User avatar #242 - heartlessrobot (02/18/2015) [-]
Tell adults something is suddenly socially acceptable and that they'll be shunned for not going along, they go with it for fear of social exile. Tell kids the same thing once and they'll forget about it a couple minutes later.
User avatar #243 - aldkai (02/18/2015) [-]
Take a good look at education process and rethink.
User avatar #244 - heartlessrobot (02/18/2015) [-]
That's repeatedly telling kids over a period of time.
Assemblies only tell kids once for about a half hour.
User avatar #247 - aldkai (02/18/2015) [-]
I told you. They're changing the system to have it accepted as the societal norm. Sarkeesian tries to change that part of the system called public school.
User avatar #248 - heartlessrobot (02/18/2015) [-]
There's no way schools would allow that. It has no place in any curriculum. Hell, some schools are cutting back on art and music.
User avatar #250 - aldkai (02/18/2015) [-]
Queer Geography. Queer Agriculture. Those are real college curriculums that are recent. I'm not joking. This is becoming madness.
User avatar #252 - heartlessrobot (02/18/2015) [-]

Look, there's no point denying it. There's the indoctrination starting in public school and wishful thinking isn't making any less worse.
User avatar #264 - armwulf (02/18/2015) [-]
Oh there's LOTS of indoctrination attempts in public school
The problem is kids are smarter than people give them credit for. They're extremely unwise and obnoxious as hell, but they aren't morons. None of the propaganda is based on FACT, most of them see that.
That's why every school in america is filled with weed. It's easier to get than booze. Every anti-weed poster is based off lies and exaggeration, so it's completely disregarded. D.A.R.E is an excuse out of class, not anything taken seriously.

As for COLLEGE however
In COLLEGE, the information is more complicated, and it's coming from sources with some relevance. It's coming from some place so smart it costs 100,000 a semester to learn there, they MUST be right.
So, you're more likely to believe it. One, you're paying for it. Two, it's much more complicated, so it's harder to learn the reality yourself, and three, social pressure pushes you TOWARDS it, not AWAY from it.
User avatar #281 - aldkai (02/18/2015) [-]
I'll still want to keep that one away from schools. She has no place there, she belongs to a church;but I mean,I know you agree with me.
