Sorry, I thought you were the other dude.

No, I mean that half of Americans believe that the world is 6,000 years old. That kind of deeply religious. Very fundamentalist.

Not quite sure if it's half, but the number is too high in any case. My point is that a lot of these radical groups in America don't commit violence because laws are pretty well enforced. Put them in a time machine and go back some 50 or 60 years though, and they would probably be more violent.

Most of the white supremacist groups in the US are deeply religious in nature, but I just think that has to do with the US being a deeply religious nation (the second most religious in the West after the Rep. of Ireland).

Science or atleast scientific education is untouchable in most countries ( unlike the US ) . Sure there are religious people ( even deeply religious ) , but most don't mix religion and science ( physical vs metaphysical ) . That or they know that if they don't embrace science , they'll either be left behind or wont get jobs .
User avatar #624 - noshitholmes (06/09/2012) [-]
Well, the guy who made the big bang theory is in the Vatican. He believes that you have to look at science and religion separately. As an atheist, I still can say that I agree.
