true, but when I buy a game from a franchise I expect it to be at least somewhat like the previous games I grew with and loved inb4 "still feels like a pokemon game" imo if it ain't broken why fix it . the new game is just weird. Dante is basically just like some shadow the edgehog, the whole story is changed so it's a reboot (dante being half angel half demon why reboot? there wasn't any major plotholes or anything... there was literally no reason to reboot ), and the story is just some demons being in charge of some corporations and shit, imo it doesn't sound any more mature, there is nothing new in that consept and it's not better to the old ones but yeah that's just my opinion. I always liked the over the top demon shit in the previous games, that's why I bought them, to get my mind off from serious/realistic things. sure it was cliche'd as hell but that was the point to begin with. I don't like that they took a big dump on the old fans by not continuing the story after 4th game. reboots are cancer to me, it is only supposed to be done to a franchise who have fucked everything up badly with plot/gameplay and they need to restart everything imo resident evil needs to reboot to some point . reboot they did with dmc was just a lazy way to make money and tell their own things with the game. they could've made a completely new game but they decided to take the name so they can milk fans. I don't respect them from that.
but true. the game was good. fighting was good and fluid, the only thing they even made better imo. I'm never gonna see it as a dmc game though. it's funny, how games are nowadays more than about gameplay. IMO the combat was incredible, the story was...okay, I guess. But the way they designed new Dante was less than stellar.
