 This isn't the nineties, son. Biometrics has come a long way. A couple of years ago I was in a cyber security class, all the desktops had webcams and fingerprint scanners. If your face left range of the webcam or f someone else's face came into range it would lock your computer, as if you had pressed windows key + L Logging back in was simple, face the webcam and scan your finger. The software kept a track of your website passwords and would log you in automatically to any website you went too. Bretty cool, definitely shows what could happen in the future and how passwords could become obsolete. For extra credit, we were challenged to find a way to trick the system, nobody could. That, paired with the fact that it never spazzed out and unintentionally logged anyone out was amazing to me. | ||

 Not sure what shows you are watching, but DC dominates TV and animated media. Justice League, Teen Titans, Young Justice, Batman Beyond, hell even Arrow is decent. All those shows paint DC's characters in an entertaining and interesting light. Then there are movies like Return of the Joker, Superman vs the Elite, Justice League: Doom, Under the Red Hood, and Flashpoint Paradox that take it even further. And I'm just scratching the surface. These shows are far from "bland," and are easily better than anything Marvel has to offer when it comes to media outside of movies If you really looked into these characters, I seriously doubt you'd show this much ignorance about them. Green Lantern is some guy that makes green fists? Superman is just some strong guy (which is suspiciously never a problem for people liking Thor, Dr. Manhattan, or Silver Surfer)? Dude, just no | ||

Look I'm sure you'll find a good green lantern issue somewhere where he was mildly cool, or an interesting superman issue where they actually was some sort of sense of danger or conflict that wasn't super dumb, but super heroes are supposed to be symbols of awesomeness and when the vast majority of their media are lame and/or bland then who gives a shit about the one interesting issue. Look at Batman, Spider-man, or Wolverine, even in their less celebrated issues they are still cool characters and fun to read. A truly good superhero always works regardless of the writer.
