The video has a point though. Never pre order a game, no matter what the benefits. Also, don't upgrade to deluxe edition just because you think you're getting more. If the company is serious about their game being good, and actually worth playing, they shouldn't need to sell you it before it's even released. I hope that made sense.

I don't pre order games because potentially, they're going to be shit and flop straight away. H1Z1 was an instant flop (but apparently coming back idk), pretty sure Titan Fall was a flop and now Evolve is too I guess. If a company is serious about a game they're making, they should send it to big YouTubers and have them do an honest review of it before it's released and then actually change the game to make it worth the fucking money. Fuck pre orders.

Isn't there cosmetic DLC, pre-order additions, and two season passes?

I was under the impression that they would be selling the monster and the hunter DLCs separate from each other, but that there was a season pass for the monsters and another for the hunters. I guess the monsters are included in the season pass and the hunters are going to be sold separately.

Confusing the consumer with all of this extra content is never really a good thing. They always feel like they made the wrong decision when they buy the game or they decide not to bother with the game at all.

I haven't actually played for myself and don't plan on buying it atleast until the inevitable ultimate edition type thing comes out with all of the content bundled together. That's only if there are still enough people playing the game by then. I'm holding out because from what I've seen Evolve doesn't have enough content in the base game for $60. Maybe that will change when all of the free stuff comes out.

yeah but they can't lie about the features that you can in the game, and i thought it looks cool but it would make sense if you just burned out the stone towers but again i think it's just to make it look cooler as the enemy goes through the city on a siege

it may look cool, but you shouldn't break towers you're going to be using yourself later on

I like how you can upgrade units though, but I don't know if you just upgrade tier 1 to 1.1 or to 2

Probably less shitty militia, but i didn't know you could upgrade units i hope it's M2TW where if you give them better armor their look changes and shit damn i thought that was so cool. Yeah but you know i think they wanted the sieges to be as cool as possible since they sucked last game so for practical use not very smart but for the games looks cool.

it's like in Rome II when you research legionaries, you upgrade them on the world map
but it's after they reach a certain experience level, and they got different portraits, they didn't show them in the game

Yeah I've ever since Rome but before that i was always a fan of Classical Greece and it makes sense that they would be weak to missile fire.

always went for Gauls (partly because I live in Belgium so taking a Belgae clan is just morefun)

I have always loved the greek hoplites and it went well with my hammer and anvil style of combat

I already paid full price for Rome II + Blood DLC (pre-order for Sparta) and I just don't think it's worth paying €40 for mostly the same game

I think you should wait to torrent it, to see if it's worth buying but you don't have to wait a year in the summer chances are that it will go on sale. And i understand your stance since they fucked up so hard on Rome 2

The Franks are bad ass man, they're the reason the muslims never conquered france and you could just wait till some mods come out that add more factions like for Rome 2

do you use overhaul mods or just small tweak mods? I don't like how much overhaul mods change so I usually just go for a bunch of small ones
unit roster mods, UI mods and some tweaking (no cheat mods)

Dive et Impera is a overhaul mod i really like it makes the game completely different
