I've listened to them very little, but they're better than I expected honestly. The midrange truly is as magical as they say but the thing that the reviews failed to mention was the very, very intrusive high/mid bass which occurs sometimes. Low bass is wonderful though. The stereo imaging a strong point of these for sure, along the midrange. One thing that thoroughly blew my mind is comfort and build quality. Materials and finish are top notch, not much plastic to be seen. I would say these are definitely better than the Hifiman HE-400's. HE-500's? If not better, close, which grants them their humongous value. They are not fast at all so they are a nice counter for my DT-880's. Do buy.
