Without TTK you can't play anything other than Vanilla story missions on Easy. They increased the Light requirement and re-fucked the level system so that if you don't have TTK you can't get armor with high enough Light to do any of the shit YOU FUCKING PAID FOR ALREADY

VoG, Crota, PoE, Hard difficulty, Strike Playlists, can't do any of them unless you buy TTK now. Yet people still defend it and have the fucking testicles to say that EA is worse. At least EA doesn't take away content you already bought until you buy it again just fucking because

Boohoo? If you've been playing the game long enough to have bought The Dark Below and House of Wolves, why wouldn't you buy the Taken King expansion?

And if you're a new player, why wouldn't you just buy the complete Taken King edition with all the DLC?

And If you don't want to buy the latest content, then you probably don't want to play Destiny that much anyways,

Well that's more of a problem with Microsoft and Sony not supporting it, and publishers just wanting to maximize profits. At the very least you can transfer your characters over, from what I've heard.

But honestly, it's on you if you bought it for 360 and then decided to upgrade to an Xbone. TTK didn't come out that long ago, and we've had two major sales, Black Friday and Christmas. So if you did get an Xbone, you had two opportunities to nab it for a really low price.

I also bought it all digitally, sohaving to buy it a second time is even more bullshit. You don't have to purchase your games again when you upgrade your PC, why should you have to do it for console?

I already bought the product once, having to buy it a second time (within the same family of consoles mind you) is just extortion. I didn't even have an xbone at the time when I got it.

The Taken King edition with all the DLC is $60, and the Taken King expansion on its own is $40. So what are you referring to? The people that purchased the game on day 1? No offense, but you might as well be complaining about how publishers lower the prices of their games over time, and this is a thing that's been going on forever. If you don't want to be a victim of it, don't buy games on day one, especially if you don't want to pay more.

Destiny also needs continuous content updates if they want the playerbase to remain active. I do think the content ought to be free and should be funded in other ways, and that's the route they're taking now. Destiny isn't a big enough game to leave part of the playerbase behind and give them no incentive to buy the latest content, and this is the flaw with Destiny. Because you're right, people shouldn't be forced to buy the latest content, but Destiny doesn't work that way. So, the best option is to just give everybody the content, and that's basically what they're going to be doing now.

i paid 55 buck(CAD) for the complete game on my xbone (including my gold account discount). it's mostly shit for the ones who bought destiny before the expansions.
