You're only proving my point. You really don't seem to understand what an Ego is, or how it's any different from a Superiority Complex. Here, let me paint it out for you:

An Ego, contrary to popular belief, isn't just having pride in what you do, but is also akin to individuality and sense-of-self. Even the word Ego means "I" in some silly language, and the philosophy behind it is more about how your consciousness is its own separate thing from the world around it. So on these lines we can say that Ego is not saying you do something better than everyone else, but just "Recognizing that you DO" at all.

A superiority complex, while not exactly opposite of that, is more about how you yourself are better than everyone else. People with superiority complexes are often ill-tempered and sore losers, blaming everyone and everything but themselves for any loss they sustain and lording their victory over anyone else whenever it comes.

Believing you're better than someone is neither an ego nor superiority complex. It's just observation. Having a sense of self is Ego, and believing you're better than EVERYONE is a superiority complex.

If your definition of an ego is a superiority complex than I think you have more important things on your hand than calling me a fucktard, buddy. It's not very emotionally healthy.

If you've ever once made fun of someone... Ever once been watching a TV show and completely disagree with the premise? I know you're human bro and I know you have an EGO it's part of all our psyche.

Somewhere, deep within, we all have believed we are superior to someone or something in our lives.

Hypothetical here, but let's say she's trying to kill me, or better yet has turned into a Zombie... Let the bodies hit the floor.
User avatar #59 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
Because apparently she's trying to kick my ass. There isn't a person in this world who I wouldn't defend myself from.
#87 - lvlonemeepo (10/28/2014) [-]
God, your mum is your mum. She let you come out of her vagina. On second thought she really shouldn't have if you're that much of a prick-holder.
User avatar #99 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
So, how's enabling child abuse treating you?
User avatar #101 - lvlonemeepo (10/28/2014) [-]
I understand holding her hand before it hitting you, but for you to strike your mother is if striking yourself, foolish, in every single way imaginable.
User avatar #103 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
Not defending yourself from an attacker is even more foolish.
User avatar #104 - lvlonemeepo (10/28/2014) [-]
I would never strike my mother for any such reason. I will defend myself against an attacker but that like if my mum punched me when I was coming out of her vagina because the pain was hurting her therefor she must hit back. Some people have morale code, some do not. I will not argue. My mother is a great woman, I would sooner strike myself down than to lay a finger on her with revenge or defense in mind. If she hit me at the age I am now I would simply grab her hand before she hit me and say "I'm a bit too old for that now mum. But I'll take that as I did something wrong and correct it." Some people are different and lack morale's and that is an unarguable fact, carry on.
User avatar #105 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
Any mother that would hit their child after they reach an age where they can be reasoned with, without barbarism, is one of those people without a moral compass, and there's no reason to NOT defend yourself from such a vile person.

Don't get me wrong, my parents hit me, and I hold no animosity toward them for it, and love them, because I understand that I was too young to realistically be reasoned with. However, if my mother were to come at me now, I would absolutely defend myself. I wouldn't swing back right away. But if she didn't stop after a few swings, I would be forced to swing back.
User avatar #106 - lvlonemeepo (10/28/2014) [-]
Reasonable. I don't want to dismiss you as wrong because I understand where you're coming from, but personally I would not. My mother is a small woman and I can most definitely keep her from striking lol. Shes one of those people that gets smaller and smaller. But yes one who would sooner hit than reason is not someone that is a mother and can very quickly be taken out of the picture, as long as it is real abuse. But if you're being hit because you come home out of your mind on drugs or drunk then its completely understandable to be hit because you cannot be reasoned with just as a child.
User avatar #107 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
Absolutely. I was taking this from the perspective of a day-to-day basis, and since I don't do drugs, and am old enough to drink anyway, even drinking with my parents on occasion, I wasn't taking those scenarios into account.
User avatar #108 - lvlonemeepo (10/28/2014) [-]
Yeah, glad we got that cleared up boyo you're not so bad. Should've worded yourself a bit better to clear yourself from getting downthumbed.

User avatar #100 - lvlonemeepo (10/28/2014) [-]
Child abuse is a foolish word to toss around when such man previously stated he would hurt his mother for hitting him/her I don't care who you are no justification is in rule for such stupidity, where is your compassion. Take a long look at yourself boy.
User avatar #102 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
If your mother is going to "kick your ass," it's abuse. Anyone attacking anyone is abuse, and the fact that it's your own god damn mother makes it worse. Edglelord McAngst up there absolutely should, "knock that bitch out cold," if she instigates conflict.
#77 - thewulfman (10/28/2014) [-]
User avatar #84 - hanabro (10/28/2014) [-]
Genuinely confused. Explain why I should let my mother abuse me, if I am fully capable of defending myself.

And I'm not talking about discipline. This is an outright ass-whooping, apparently. Don't just throw around the le ebuk edgee maymay and explain why I should just let that happen.
User avatar #86 - thewulfman (10/28/2014) [-]
Context, it's a thing. We're not talking about abuse. No one was except you. This all started because of some edgy internet badass saying he'd knock "that bitch" out cold.
