Joke about Nazis, the Holocaust, and Black people as much as possible, It's funny, but suddenly we're monsters for putting a pony on a picture?
I'm not saying he's right, it just seems hypocritical.
User avatar #472 - niggledafiggle (02/20/2015) [-]
That's all dark humour which to me is fine. That shit that boils blood is when you put something childish, that is already cringy and disliked due to the fandom, on the picture because 'it doesn't have enough emotion without it'.

I would react the same if someone put some other random ass cartoon character with a sad face in it. The fact that it's bronies just adds to the disgruntlement.
#465 - theruse (02/20/2015) [-]
No.

You know what the difference is? Those are jokes. This motherfucker is serious.

And THIS picture and the stupid ass comment underneath piss me off as well. It's a shitty children's show and the only way to feel emotion for the horrible things that happened is to have a pony in it? What a fucking loser.
User avatar #466 - bronywiseman (02/20/2015) [-]
Hey look on the bright side, this is introducing people to these events.
Maybe they'll want to know the original source of the picture, and look it up, and find out more about what happened.

I mean, it's unlikely, but it's more likely than is someone didn't make that picture.
It's a one in a hundred chance, but there are thousands of Bronies.

It might not be pleasant to look at, but all in all, it's probably doing more good than bad.
#467 - theruse (02/20/2015) [-]
You are defacing historic photos with pony shit.

And it seems you are going to defend this bullshit to the death.

How are you so sure? I know Star Wars lore is rich as fuck but come on, there is a shit ton of novels of warhammer 40k. Also the codex and all that. It still has A LOT of gaps because Games Workshop is shit but I honestly don't know which one has the biggest amount of lore.
User avatar #142 - internetexplain (02/18/2015) [-]
star wars has several dozen novels dedicated to it.
also , as things are standing right now , star wars has to cover 30k years of lore.
User avatar #144 - arandomanon (02/18/2015) [-]
Warhammer has more than just several novels dedicated to it. And Warhammer has about 30k years of lore to cover too (which they will never be covered for sure)
User avatar #145 - internetexplain (02/18/2015) [-]
i said several DOZEN novels.

a dozen is 12 , several 12's usually means around 60 of a thing.

as far as I know , the furthest star wars goes into the past lore-wise currently (as in - you can read up on it) is 35000 BBY or 10 thousand years before the old republic.
User avatar #147 - arandomanon (02/18/2015) [-]
I meant to type "several dozens", I don't know why I just typed "several". Warhammer 40k has some past lore but still is not enough at all. There are a lot of events that are just mentioned and when I said it has 30k years of lore to cover, I was wrong. The wars with the ancients and the C'tan gods was much much previous, the creation and evolution of eldars happened inbetween and several more things. Warhammer 40k is really, really deep. And so is Star Wars and I'm aware of that fact and I'm not saying one or another has a bigger and deeper lore than the other. I just don't know how can you be so sure about SW having a bigger lore than WH40k.
User avatar #149 - internetexplain (02/18/2015) [-]
because of the potential behind it.

which one do you think is the bigger name , Star wars or Warhammer?

Also , according to george lucas , EVERYTHING every piece of lore including the 6 movies have all been retconned , and episode 7 and everything that follows will be canon , nothing else , so I would argue as of right now , warhammer has the bigger lore if it were for Lucas.
But we all know he's kinda retarded , anyway back to the original point , star wars is more well known , so chances are it will accumulate more lore over time than warhammer , which is why I'm so sure , star wars has more lore , because I'm already looking into the future.
User avatar #152 - arandomanon (02/18/2015) [-]
If you're talking about potential lore, I'd say WH has more potential lore because of all the things that happened, the things that are going to happen (there's a rumour that Abaddon is going to conquer Cadia and maybe thus starting the Wolftime). There are a lot of things that could have happened because in WH, events past the birth of mankind are relevant and important (not sure about SW).

On the other hand, if you're talking about future lore and the things that are going to be written/aired (as movies or series, whatever), you're probably right and SW is going to have more lore because it's more popular. It's two different ways to see it.
User avatar #154 - internetexplain (02/18/2015) [-]
well potential star wars lore could be a history on some of the still fairly unknown things that happened in the early days of galactic civilization 100k years ago.

also , going further into the future would probably lead to even crazier shit than the yuzhan vong war.

trust me , star wars is big in many aspects there is over 100 thousand years of potential lore to cover for star wars , which they will never do , but the potential is there.
User avatar #217 - niggledafiggle (02/19/2015) [-]
Warhammer 40K is large and diverse just like Star Wars, but the material can be very gory and dark. Star Wars is a bit more flexible in the fact that it can appeal to a larger audience by being light for the younger people and having dark undertones for the older generations, which makes it more well known and more likely to be expanded upon by the many people who know it.

I don't know which has a larger time period to cover, I would think Warhammer 40K, but I could be wrong. But Star Wars also has diversity in the way it's not all about political unrest and war which is what makes up 40K in general. That's why there's more Star Wars lore.

its the richest fictional univers i know of

I'm talking physical lore that you can read, via books, comics, etc. Warhammer is no way whatsoever lore light, there's a shit ton. But there's still more Star Wars lore available than 40K.
