Challenge him at what point? I'm saying he was paranoid as fuck and wanted to know what people (who he thought were conspiring against him somehow) were saying to each other.

This really bothers me. No one seems to understand how the NSA works. They aren't "watching everyone", they just reserve the right to do so if they feel the need. Kind of like how the US reserves the right to fight a war in space. Do you guys understand the logistics required to watch even a few thousand people constantly, let alone THREE HUNDRED MILLION people?
User avatar #153 - niggershrimps (04/22/2014) [-]
Dude. I know. But it's still an infringement of rights and I don't know why people are dumb enough to keep these people in power.

We need to have an Icelandic revolution, seriously.
User avatar #147 - meierme (04/22/2014) [-]
i dont give a shit if they dont spy on us all the time its the fact they can at any moment spy on you for what ever reason they see fit. its like if i was given the right to follow you around and watch everything you do and there is nothing you can do about it. even if I'm not presently doing it do you want me to have that right?
User avatar #150 - charagrin (04/22/2014) [-]
You do realize they could already do that, right? They didn't magically get the ability after the bill was passed, they already had everything and were doing it to begin with. And obviously you DON'T care, because you aren't doing anything about it.

We as a collective population have nothing to complain about, because we let it happen. We just sit here and do nothing except talk about it "anonymously" on a internet forum. I am not saying I am not guilty, I am just saying you are not innocent.
User avatar #151 - meierme (04/22/2014) [-]
they would at least need to get a warrant to be able to do it without the bill. and there isnt anything a single person can do, given the opportunity i would join in tearing down the nsa. but there are essential for other reasons so maybe just limiting their power would be a good start.
User avatar #152 - charagrin (04/22/2014) [-]
They needed to have a warrant to do it LEGALLY. Obviously you have never dealt with the government.

And you are the problem. You me, that guy over there, the chick playing video games, the old lady reading a newspaper. because we are all one prson, and we never do anything about it. The excuse is always "I am just one person". Well, so was George Washington. So was Martin Luther King JR. You have to get together to make a change, and we won't so we cant.
User avatar #154 - meierme (04/22/2014) [-]
i was a marine ive dealt with the government plenty. but what ever they got before couldn't hold up in court unless there was a warrant. as for the rest i agree with you. i just have no idea what to do, or where to start.
User avatar #88 - sirgawain (04/21/2014) [-]
It's because it was himself, not the NSA, that was getting information specifically on his political adversaries.
User avatar #89 - niggershrimps (04/21/2014) [-]

To be quite honest, the guy that created that asked me about it.
I actually didn't know about the niggershrimp content until after I made the account which is kind of ironic considering I've been lurking since about 05 and we laughed it off. Yeah, I probably could, but math isn't my thing, and I always got graded badly on my labs. Not that I was a science retard, but my teacher just REALLY didn't like my labs.

Got an A in physical science and an A in chem though.

I never said it stated his age bracket, that's where you're getting butthurt. I said he's not closer to late 20's because of his lack of maturity and the fact that he's only ever had one relationship, barely, and he quickly jumps on the "love bandwagon". That along with his vocabulary spells out younger person, most likely teen. He's even described in most of the play books as a "young man", so if YOU say 40 is the limit, young would be way less than 25.

You actually might want to do some research. His age is NEVER shown in the play, and your only "proof" is to watch the films, and one line you claim to be in the play without actually giving a line, page, act, or scene. I actually bothered to look it up, and it's implies he's still around a teen because of his maturity level and how quickly he jumps on his infatuation with Juliet.

Okay, that's a misconception. The average lifespan was 40 because of the INSANE rates of child mortality. Kids dropping left and right from all sorts of shit because there are no hospitals to fix them.
