Right, idea.
Say they have a ladder on the inside of the Glade or whatever they called it. They have one that's there all the time, and another one nearby. If the runners don't get back in time, have some lads move the second ladder just on the other side of the door. That way, when the runners get back, they can climb up, pull the ladder up with them and then go back down the other way. If they can build all those cool houses and towers and stuff, there's no reason why they can't build a sturdy ladder.

The walls are pretty high, don't you think they would be blown away while climbing because of air and the earthshaking when the maze changes?

If the ladder is long enough, it can be propped against the opposite wall and leaned over the gap to the other side, diagonally. It'd be stable unless the entrance corridor changes in width, which I don't think it does.

I see, it might have worked but then again, the monsters might just go after them since they can climb walls i suppose, and because they're so limited in space up there, they'd get fucked.

idk tho, i enjoyed movie and im not so nitpicking about something in a movie, if i would be nitpicking, most movies would be shit, especially tv shows.

I didn't like it at all, but that's just me. I'm not saying the ladder would be an end-all to all runners getting killed, but it'd at least give them a better chance.

I think at one point in the book tom does climb something to escape the monster things, but the actual walls are way to high to climb over them or something. Plus I'm pretty sure they were in a giant box anyway.

In the movie atleast they showed the glade from above, and also the sky was visible for the entirety of the movie even while inside of the maze.
