Just read the article. I'll be amazed if they actually manage to go from what sounds like their first lab samples to mass producible chips, & convince a company to actually integrate those chips in a device in 3 Years.

"My new chip is vastly superior to every other chips by several degrees of magnitude, do you want to put it in your computers?"
"Nah"
User avatar #55 - chuckbillrow (06/18/2014) [-]
reasonable response considering that the quantum computer chips will be stupidly expensive at first and for most people current generation technology has more than enough power for what they need

Is there a force field in your neighborhood that keeps any form of bad out? Where can I Get one? The gang members here have these things called cars that can go from a bad neighborhood to a good one.
#47 - keeluall (05/12/2014) [-]
Yes I do, its called living in northern europe
User avatar #44 - thebaseballexpert (05/12/2014) [-]
I live in a city where gangs aren't a huge problem. The biggest crime we legitimately have is meth trade. Even If i walk through the "bad" part of my city, I still don't have to worry about the herds of gang members that apparently roam around by the thousands everywhere else in the country. My biggest threat is a random Coyote, and I carry a knife on me for that reason
#45 - caninefurryz (05/12/2014) [-]
Haha, a knife versus a coyote, now that would be funny to watch.
User avatar #49 - thebaseballexpert (05/12/2014) [-]
It's a good thing I run into them ALL THE TIME. Like seriously, In my 21 years of living here, I've yet to actually encounter one while I'm out. They don't come into the city often, and when they do it's the summer. But I live on the edge of the city, so I see them every now and then.

>but i knife wouldn't do shit in a fight

maybe, but it's better than nothing should I ever HAVE to fight something. I'm not going to go an my morning run with a gun strapped to my waist when a knife is a fraction of the weight.

Honestly though,

Gun+ ammo- $100-$300

Knife- $15
#50 - caninefurryz (05/12/2014) [-]
I don't think you realize how light and small some guns are and a good, well made knife is about the same as a cheap gun plus ammo. All I'm saying is that if I were to get into a life or death situation or even a life or getting the shit beat out of me situation I would much rather have a gun than a knife. Just the principle of carrying a gun has been known to ward off would be attackers.
#40 - nggod (05/12/2014) [-]
The solution I've got is to live in a country with gun crontrol, guns don't even seem to exist in the 2/3 big cities that are near me aside my friends and people who have adequate reason to have one.
